Jandar was perfect for a 3 night mini getaway. It is close to Maleny township (5 minutes away ) and Montville (15 Mins away). The peace and quiet was great. We stayed in their FigTree cabin. There were people staying in other cabins at Jandar but we didn't hear a thing. The design and fit out was top shelf, perfect for a self contained short stay. The hosts were very helpful and accomodating even going out of their way to substitute a Vegan/GF welcome platter for their usual one. We look forward to returning soon

The accommodation was beautiful with generous sized rooms and beds. The place was very clean and the local extras provided were lovely. This was a great location to explore lots of places from. Janine is a friendly and helpful host. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

My husband & I booked Jandar Retreat for our 1st wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Elysium room. The room was spacious and freshly renovated, everything looked and felt brand new. The fireplace was easy to use and warmed up the space quickly. Spa on the patio was lovely. We were surprised with a breakfast basket filled with fresh local produce, we felt very spoilt indeed. Contactless check in was convenient and easy. Keypad on the door instead of keys was great. Bed was a touch too firm for our liking, could do with a pillow top. We were hoping for a little more privacy, not realising the rooms are so close together, we rarely saw the other guests, however we could hear our neighbours doing the horizontal tango at 2am. Great location between Maleny and Montville and we would consider staying here again on our next trip to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

The accommodation was in a beautiful serene setting in a beautiful part of Sunshine Coast. Our host, Janine and Darren are one of a kind They were wonderful. They paid attention to every detail. They were incredibly generous and friendly to the point of even picking us up and returning us to airport ! They were really marvelous and of really good character.We would certainly highly recommend the accommodation and their services 10 out 10 !!

Supurb. A beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean property with 4 large bedrooms and plenty of space including kitchen/dining/living areas, breakfast provisions and the perfect outdoor area for our family to sit and chat. Very highly recommend.

This is the second time I visited "The Rondawel" at African Cottage. Really love this unique cottage that hidden at Maleny. Fully furnished, very spacious and relaxing along with some African music. Matilda prepared African dinner, along with some seafood we bought from Mooloolaba, my family had a great time celebrating Father's Day. Will definitely revisit this place again. Lovely place to stay, well appointed modern cabin. Loved the breakfast hamper full of local produce. Great spa under the stars. Nice and close to Maleny and Montville in a convenient spot. Bed was comfy and enjoyed the included WiFi and smart TVs. Definitely recommend.

Had our 5th anniversary here and it was the perfect place to spend with my significant other. Place was very clean and cozy with all the necessities available for use. The place was so good we didn’t feel like leaving, especially because of the spa with the beautiful trees in the back ground. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs time away from the busy life in the cities and suburbs. I’ll definitely come back in the near future to further explore the area.
