Best Hotels in Balmain, Australia

It was quite expensive for the service. The staff were not very welcoming but pleasant enough. The highlights are you are camping on the harbor and the view is very pretty. At sunset the very large bats come out which is quite cool to see but they are very loud with each other. Here is somethings you should know. Both eateries close at 430 pm so plan accordingly for dinner. If you get the package that includes electricity it’s only on from 6pm-6am. The waterway is very active until dark then the row teams start at 0500 it might have been earlier but their coaches are very loud and aggressive. What a way to wake up. It was nice just manage your expectations.

Wouldn’t recommend. Have stayed at nicer hostels in Sydney. There wasn’t great bathroom facilities - not enough toilets or showers for the capacity. There was a severe lack of sinks which I didn’t realise would be such an issue but is! The bathrooms were often dirty and not cleaned regularly. There was a lack of toilet paper constantly. The bed was uncomfortable and pillow was hard. Beds were very loud to get in and out of so felt like I was waking everyone in the room whenever I needed the bathroom. The staff were fine but not overly helpful. On check in we weren’t advised where the kitchen or lounge area was, or what the check out protocol was. When we checked out the staff never advised us what to do with the bed linen. Location was grand for Sydney, a bit further out but wasn’t really a hinderance. There was good public transport. For reference I have stayed at two other Sydney hostels, and plenty of hostels up and down the east coast.

Check in was nice but our room was right near the lift i could hear every time someone was at the lift which was noisy at night and early hours in the morning the hotel location itself was perfect only my room location could have been better. Our bags were placed in the wrong room and the mistake was not picked up until i walked around the hotel to look for it and then went back to the concierge to confirm. Everything else was good.

Absolutely love and recommend this hotel! A true 5 star hotel in all respects. From the front desk staff, to the room service staff, to the doormen, service is everywhere. Always made sure we had everything we needed in our room. The location is also very convenient, close to many small cafes and restaurants within walking distance and very close to the harbour. The hotel's Japanese-style breakfast is also very suitable for Asian tastes, and Forbes has rated it well!

If the female is single .. It is recommended not to live, there is no elevator! I was almost out of gas with two suitcases .. Although the first floor staff helped me move up, can I understand how I feel when I check out ... Well, because I live in the highest building (the third floor) I Feeling extremely cold .. I also turned on mobile heating ... I have a small bar and a small refrigerator..I do n’t have a toothbrush, I have towels, others, I have a TV, but I did n’t turn it on because the first floor is a local ghost restaurant It ’s opposite (the sound insulation is not good enough to hear the traffic on the road). Walk five minutes away from The Star. There is a supermarket behind The Star. The function is not bad. I did n’t brush the toilet .. I cleaned it myself and saw that there are still traces in the toilet (I do n’t know if it ’s piss or urine ...) I did n’t care about it anymore, I put it on the toilet and finished. I stayed at Crown Towers Perth in Sep 2022 and June 2023. I also stayed in Crown Towers Melbourne in Dec 2022. Thus, the next logical move is to stay in Crown Towers Sydney to complete my experience in staying at all 3 Crown Towers Hotel in Australia. I finally did that. Stayed at Crown Towers Sydney from 3 Nov to 8 Nov 2023. Today is 8 Nov 2023 and I will be checking out shortly. I stayed at an opera king room which has views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. The room was very well lit and nice. Just the appropriate size for a sole traveller. I also managed to try most of the restaurants in Crown Towers Sydney except Yoshii Omakase which is so hard to book and Silks. I did not managed to book Yoshii even when it opened for booking. Guess too many people booking. I tried Epicurean for breakfast, dinner at A’Mare, Nobu, Woodcut and Oncore by Clare Smyth. I did not try Silks since being an Asian Chinese, I normally do not eat Chinese food when I go holiday. Got to try other food instead. My favourite restaurant is undoubtedly Oncore where I ordered the 7 course seasonal tasting menu. Superb. Woodcut was also good where I ordered their sirloin steak. Nobu was also nice as it completed my tour of all 3 Nobu in Australia having previously eaten at Nobu Perth and Melbourne when I stayed at Crown Towers there. For Nobu , I ordered the X Haku Omakase which is 5 course. The star of the course was the lobster. Overall I have enjoyed my stay in here. As Sarah Brightman is coming to Sydney in Aug to Oct 2024, I have already booked my tickets to watch her performance at Sydney Opera House in Sep 2024 and also booked a 4 night stay at Crown Towers Sydney again. For the future, I do hope Crown Towers Sydney can have a Crystal Club for breakfast like what Perth and Melbourne has. Also, hope to see more shops/entertainment areas at Crown and also a provision/gift/snack shop here at Crown Towers Sydney.

The hotel is a retrofit of the old-fashioned house. The room is small in size, the facilities are average, the comfort is OK, the semi-self-service, there is a public kitchen, you can cook for yourself. Warm service. The downside is that the phone is not connected.

Excellent place. Great shopping and food strip across the road. A stroll to Glebe markets. Clean, modern. All the things you would expect. You will float away on the plush mattress like you’re on a cloud. The toiletries are top shelf. Everything you could need is either in the room, can be accessible across the road or delivered to your room. Plus the range of food and food delivery that is at your fingertips in Glebe is amazing. Leafy and quiet area. Easy to get to. Bus stop outside to go anywhere. Not that you need to because it’s all there. Make sure to grab dinner at the toxteth hotel across the road.

Very good service! recommend! The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there was an unlimited refill of mineral water. Very close to the city center, walking to Linggang. It can be regarded as a boutique hotel. Suitable for one person's travel
