Markree was simply wonderful it’s a magical place; from the time you enter you know you are in a different place. What unfolds does not disappoint. We were there for our son’s wedding I would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering a location for their wedding. The staff likewise were fantastic and very helpful. The grounds are ideal for all those important photographs of your special day. We will definitely be making a return visit.

I stayed in this Castle for a wedding some years back and I loved it so much that I wanted to arrange for my parents to stay a couple of nights. My parents loved it. One of Ireland's best Castles to stay in. Magical place. The rooms are the best I ever stayed in. Some of them are massive and have a real castle feel, but with all the comforts. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

We had the most incredible wedding we could have ever wished for at markree. The staff are faultless down to the finest detail, I even had a member of staff appear with a blanket when I got cold taking photos outside, they were so attentive to our needs without us even having to ask, the decor and grounds are immaculate and nothing was too much trouble for them. All our guests commented on it being the best wedding they’d ever attended and that is completely down to the staff at Markree. The food was like nothing we’ve tasted before so fresh and delicious. Thank you so much to the whole team for executing all of our wishes and making sure the day went off without a hitch!

Was a guest at a wedding on Saturday the 8th of March and it was a truly amazing experience. The castle is a fantastic building, the staff are amazing, very welcoming, efficient and knowledgeable. The room’s are spacious and comfortable. The food was superb, the breakfast was exquisite, the gluten free breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend Markree Castle and will definitely be returning.

Staying here was such an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed—the service was truly top-notch, with such friendly and attentive staff who paid attention to every little detail. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of unique and flavorful dishes that made every meal exciting. The castle itself is breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful scenery that feels like something out of a fairytale. And the rooms? So elegant, cozy, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax. It was an unforgettable stay, and I’d love to come back again!

The staff are amazing, so friendly professional, attentive and the castle is magical. The furnishings impeccable and comfortable. Ooo the food was soooo delicious. Absolutely fabulous 👌 We attended a wedding, and it was superb. Thanks to the wonderful staff.
