This hotel is a little gem. With private access to the beach for the kids and a tennis court. The hotel self catering suite is ideal for families two bedrooms kitchen bathroom and access to the sea **** bath beach and sauna that you can book online. The Resturant is 5 star with oysters, fresh sea food beautiful scallops and lobster pie with puff pastry to name a few. Marion on reception is so helpful she can’t do though to help even filling the seaweed bath for me! The staff are very friendly in general and very nice to the children they are very welcome in the restaurant. Very Good cocktails. Despite cold August we enjoyed our stay very much.

This hotel is my happy place. I love to be so close to the ocean (even in October), gorgeous walks, fabulous scenery, amazing customer service and excellent food. Dean, Kathy and family make this hotel, the best on the island. Even as a very large group, we are always welcomed with open arms and nothing is too much trouble. We can’t wait to return in April for the Connemarathon.

We attended a wedding anniversary celebration the weekend of 8th November 2024. The Hotel is fabulous and set in the most stunning location. There is access to the beach and all the usual spa facilities. The staff are so friendly and could not be more helpful. The suites are really lovely. Fantastic shower! The decor is really fresh and bright and we loved the colour scheme. A really substantial tasty breakfast and our two evening meals were delicious. Andrew & Marie Fitzpatrick

We had a nice warm welcome from Marianne who was super helpful and kind. We were really fortunate to have a suite with probably the best views in the hotel - absolutely stunning with the beach from one side and mountains on the other. We had breakfast and evening meal in the hotel, not only was the food amazing but the service was really professional. The location being so close to the beach is unbeatable and we not hesitate to return.

We really enjoyed our stay here for three nights. We opted for the two bed suite which really worked well for us as there were three generations in our party so we all had our own space. It was fresh and spotlessly clean. There was a relaxing lounge area with tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely crisp bed linen and there was an excellent shower with loads of hot water and lovely fluffy towels. There is a really good breakfast selection and I can recommend the full Irish and the pancakes both were excellent. The home made brown bread also deserves a mention a firm favourite each morning. We enjoyed some dinners there too and there was no problem when we asked for some dishes to be served plain to suit one of our party and we also enjoyed a few cocktails. Connemara Sands Hotel is very relaxing, the staff are welcoming and so helpful nothing is too much trouble. It’s beside the sea and offers a lot of options spa/seaweed baths/sauna/easy access to the beach for a lovely walk to name a few.

We had such a good experience a couple of years so we decided to make a return trip. On this trip we booked a larger suite which was really good value. On this trip, we did the sauna on the beach and the seaweed baths which were great addition to the hotel. Again the food was beautiful and the staff are fantastic.

We really loved this hotel.......when we arrived we wanted to upgrade our room.....Marian very kindly facilitated this........from Marian at reception to the lovely bar man and the very friendly and efficient waiting staff they made our two nights a very relaxing break away from it all. The food was absolutely delicious ....not to mention the cocktails. What a beautiful location ......our room overlooked the sea and there was a lovely path from the hotel to the beach five minutes away. We drove via the the Inagh Valley on our way home ......just magic. we are already looking forward to revisiting this really gorgeous and friendly hotel. Annmarie & Andrew

Great location, right on the beach with a sauna beside the waters edge. Relaxing in the seaweed baths was a real treat. Accommodation was excellent and food quality was exceptional. Overall well worth a stay. The staff were so helpful and could not do enough to help you at all times.
