Petite Provence B&B

Petite Provence B&B is a 5-star French-style Guest House, conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from King Shaka International Airport. It resembles a Provençale Villa, adorned with lovely lavender and colours that remind you of Provence in the South of France. Nestled next to a conservation park and surrounded by a peaceful tropical garden, the Provence-inspired rooms are only 300m away from Salt Rock’s main swimming beach, providing an ideal spot to relax and unwind. Upon arrival, we experienced a quick and smooth check-in process, allowing us to get settled in no time. Our lovely Lavender Room, located on the ground floor, features a patio that opens up to the garden and pool area. It includes a four-poster king bed along with a bathroom fitted with both a corner bath and a shower. There’s even a small kitchen nook, complete with all the amenities we need. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning/heater, Wi-Fi, DSTV, fridge and hospitality trays, 100% cotton percale linen, beach towels, hairdryer, luxurious toiletries, patio, and private entrance. Rooms are serviced daily. Throughout our stay, the staff members were consistently friendly, polite, and always ready to help when needed. We felt safe at the Guest House and had no worries about our security. Just a heads-up for RCI exchange guests: breakfast is not included.

I was lucky enough to go for a breakfast here and I received a tour of Le Petite Provence, wow! Each room is beautiful, there are 2 pools, numerous fountains and water features, private lounge areas, and a picturesque garden. The breakfast was amazing, coffee, juices, fresh fruit, croissants and pastries, as well as egg options, we had the omelettes and they were delicious. I can see why this is a 5 star hotel, it is stunning.

What a beautiful and amazing French Victorian guest house this is! We were welcomed on 7 June with an extremely helpful young man that helped us park, find reception and helped us with our bags to our room. The lady at Reception is an absolute pleasure to deal with and very welcoming, polite and helpful. She really made our stay feel like home. We were mind blown by the beautiful and stunning honeymoon suite which had a massive dining and lounge area, huge sparkling clean shower and hug shoe bathtub. There is a sparkling clean pool right outside the suite door too, which made the view fantastic! Breakfast was a delight with staff wanting to help you all the way with whatever you need. Lots to choose from, eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, muffins, pastries, cereal, tea, coffee, juices and fruit. From the time we entered till we left, we were treated with such care and respect! I don't normally take time to write long reviews like this, but this beautiful B&B deserves more than 5 stars!! Thank you for a beautiful and welcoming stay! When we are in KZN again, we will definitely be visiting!

Petit Provence is a grand old lady of a venue and an excellent bed and breakfast in a beautiful location. The Rooms are well equipped, neat and clean and comfortable. The accommodation is set in a beautiful park like garden in Salt Rock with good amenities and restaurants.

We stayed one night. Very nice design in the room, breakfast is very good. Special thanks to the service in general and laundry service which we gave middle afternoon and got it back the next morning at 7:00 am. 20 min to airport. Many good restaurants close by and the beach is at 10 min walking distance.

Such a beautiful BnB in the Salt Rock area. Fabulous room with wide balcony overlooking the lush garden. Well set-up room and facilities. Only minor criticism is the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Otherwise we’d be very happy to stay again.
