This is a wonderful Hotel. We are getting married and had our reception dinner there as well as put family up there for the night. The service, staff, food and facilities were great. Will most certainly recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms were of a decent standard - rooms were too warm and there was no air conditioning- thermostat said for heating purposes only. Unfortunately there was a burst water main in the locality on the night of our stay that left all Rooms without running water but we were able to use the leisure club shower facility. When I reported to reception I was told I was the twelfth person to highlight and was told it was a maintenance issue by a less than enthusiastic receptionist and only to find out 5 minutes later from the breakfast staff that it was the water main problem up the road. No management to be seen regarding the situation.

The room itself was lovely but the base of the bed was so broken that we had to split and one of us sleep in the spare single bed. Then to be woken at 8am by a fire alarm which repeated again 5 mins later (I know these things happen) but after a rough night's sleep it just topped it off. Breakfast was missing eggs as the gas shuts off due to the fire alarms 😔 I know most of the disappointing experience was due to another guest showering with the bathroom door open setting alarms off. Reception told me this info said she would let them know about the bed in maintenance. To be fair it's a lovely hotel but I'm gutted that we paid 240 euro and came away exhausted.we maybe just got a bad day

Staff and food excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. food was delicious and very generous Portions. Bedrooms are shocking the room we stayed in had mold in the bathroom, bed, chair broken and bed sheets had rips in them. water kept switching between hot and cold during showers. Doors all warped and kept getting getting stuck on the tiles, Towels had stains on them and smell of stagnant water.

My Mum and Dad spent the weekend in the Shearwater Hotel & Spa, and they honestly had the most amazing time. They Both said it was the best hotel stay they have had in a very long time. The staff were amazing, so helpful and pleasant, and the hotel had such a great atmosphere. The food was great, and all the facilities were brilliant. The country dance was great on the Sunday night too. They will most definitely be back. Thank you for giving them such a great experience The Shearwater Hotel & Spa.

Celebrated my 40th birthday at the Shearwater Hotel in June and loved it so much I had to return this month. Just back from a two night stay with my family. Once again, cannot fault anything. From check in to check out, everything was exceptional. We stayed in a 2 bed family room, so spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was top class and every single member of staff was so helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Chloe who went over and beyond for us and made our stay extra special. Already planning the next trip. Cannot wait to return!

Nice hotel but very expensive. Booked 2 nights together. Night 1 was €179 night 2 was €256. At reception I asked if there was a deal for booking 2 nights and I was told ‘No’. I had stayed previously and reception knew this. However later when I was passing reception I heard the lady answering a call from someone looking to stay on the sun night and they were quoted €189 B&b so if I hadn’t booked 2 nights together I would have got a much cheaper rate for Sun night.I was very disappointed as they should look after those staying longer?? Also a packet of crisps is bar was €3. Never seen that before??

I stayed mid week as part of the family special offer, this was my second visit, I went solo with my 4 & 8 yr old girls, we had the best time! We visited glen deer park & turoe park so it was the perfect base for those parks, We ate in the bar every night, my kids went to the kids club, we went to the pool, I had a massage in the spa, it was fantastic, every staff member I came across was polite, friendly, happy & so accommodating, this is very rare to find these days. Thank you for a lovely start to our summer holidays, we will be back.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the room is clean. everything else is terrible. Bad service, bad food, unpleasant and uncooperative staff. When we arrived they received us with a bad face and in the dinner service everything got worse. don't waste your money on this hole

Really impressed with spa here and in particular Jessica who honestly gives the best massage and facial I’ve ever had and certainly best value. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break. Check out their offers on the website - brilliant deals!
