We stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary last weekend. It was our first trip away together since our little girl was born last year so it was extra special. The whole experience was amazing. The hotel staff looked after us very well and really helped us feel welcomed. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the cocktails were so good. The weather was also really good and the spa area felt extra relaxing with the wonderful views

We came for a 2 night break after a wedding weekend in Sligo. We booked a riverside suite and availed of the spa facilities. From the moment we checked in and met Matthew (who was just brilliant) it set the tone for a fabulous stay. It might have rained the entire time but it did not dampen our mood. We can’t wait to come back again. We had lunch in the hotel and ate our elsewhere but lunch was fabulous and the breakfast was also really good; we will try dinner in the hotel next time. We read some negative reviews about the food but our experience was wholly positive. Can’t fault this hotel at all.

Just back from a gorgeous stay in the Ice House Hotel. So relaxing, felt like we were in a bubble for 24 hours. We stayed in the Moy Suite, it was absolutely stunning. The view from the room was so nice. Our dinner was fabulous - highly recommend the sweet and sour prawns, fish cakes, confit duck and steak. We both had treatments while staying in the hotel and loved them. The facial was amazing! My favourite part of this hotel is the River Room, I can’t wait to return some day! Would definitely recommend staying here and will be back.

Such a beautiful location and superb staff- everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Nothing was too much trouble. Loved Ballina. Great breakfast but dinner was disappointing/ would have had dinner a second evening but it fell short of expectations. Everything else was top rate.

An amazing experience from start to finish. I took my mother as a Christmas treat. I had contacted the hotel prior to they stay. I dealt with Damien who was such a lovely guy, really went above and beyond. We stayed in The Salmon room, which the hotel kindly decorated with Christmas decorations. The views are spectacular, overlooking the River Moy. The beds are huge, and super comfy. Beautiful free standing bath and waterfall shower. The staff are really fantastic, so attentive and helpful. We dined in the restaurant, super fresh food and a lovely ambience. We also used the spa which is truly beautiful, total chillout zone with such a gorgeous feel. The Ice House is a very special place, absolutely no bad words to say whatsoever!

The Ice house is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and it was my sons first time we had an excellent experience there from start to finish The room was fabulous very spacious warm clean and with a fabulous view Our dinner in the evening was amazing first class Our breakfast had plenty of choice was lovely and warm The staff in the Chill Spa where we had our seaweed baths in the evening were so delightful and caring

Brilliant all round! Warmly welcomed by the receptionist and those in the spa who were all excellent. The spa was amazing and I loved the seaweed bath! So peaceful and the location makes it a ten. I ate in the restaurant afterward, chicken Caesar wrap was delicious. I think they need more staff in there as they seem quite rushed but they do a great job trying to do it all! Teapot came out with dust on which wasn’t great but apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will remember it for a long time to come. Thank you

The property is very nice located in a beautiful area. Very quiet and serene. I enjoyed every part of the hotel including the room, restaurant, and common space. I did not visit the spa. The only thing they can improve on is the hotel staff. They seem very uninterested and not wanting to help. I felt by just asking a couple questions, that I was in their way, and wanted me to move along. But otherwise I would recommend this hotel.
