Ice House Hotel

I had the most amazing experience, what a beautiful place & the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Even the room was beautiful. I love high quality accommodations this house is definitely that. Planning my return after my wedding. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This was our 2nd time at the IceHouse. The room was large, bright, full length windows with views of the the River. Breakfast was excellent. I recommend the Eggs Royal.The Hotel is situated close to a great playground, the beach and a lovely forest. Its peaceful watching the river. I lookforward to returning in the future.

We recently enjoyed a fabulous two-night stay at The Ice House Hotel and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional, with a special mention for Ola on reception, who was so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in a River View Room, which offered the most stunning views and sunsets — a highlight in itself. Dinner on both nights was an absolute treat; the food was truly exceptional with a wide variety of options, including excellent vegetarian and vegan choices for my partner. During our stay, we booked the seaweed baths at the iconic Chill Spa, which were simply amazing. The views, the relaxing atmosphere, and the thoughtful aftercare provided by the spa staff made it such a memorable experience. The hot tubs, ice bath, and other spa amenities added to a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. Every member of staff we encountered — at reception, in the restaurant, bar, and spa — were a credit to the hotel. Their warmth and professionalism really enhanced our stay. Overall, this was a memorable and luxurious experience, and we are already looking forward to returning. Thank you to everyone at The Ice House Hotel for making our stay so special.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We had a resort in Thailand planned but our friends were getting married the week after our wedding in Clare. We stayed here instead...oh my God it's amazing! They gave us a complimentary romantic turndown with rose petals and during our evening meal surprised us with congratulations written on the dessert plate. The food is impeccable in both the restaurant and the bar! Food: Restaurant: We had goats cheese roulade and brie starter. We had steak and duck main. Pecan pie and berry crumble for dessert. 10/10 Bar: We had chilli prawn tacos (oh my this is amazing and must try) and the wild mushroom linguine (again an absolute must try! In fact, just copy our order and trust you'll be delighted. Atmosphere: Everything about this place is super romantic. The vibe is chill, the staff let you relax but are attentive to anything you need. Again it's 5 star from a guest perspective, currently they're on 4 stars and they really deserve that 5 star title. Spa: Unfortunately the spa treatments weren't available during our stay, so we booked the mud baths, this was very relaxing, baths overlook the river and it's picturesque. It rained a little but nothing could put a dampen on our spa day. The hot tubs overlooking the river are also incredible. Access to hot tub and thermal suites are complimentary with the stay. The mud baths are €80-100 each, but for an occasion worth a try! Thank you so much to everyone here for making us feel special and topping our honeymoon expectations! We decided you'll be out anniversary dinner location from now on, seeing as Darver castle where we married was only a wedding venue and doesn't offer hotel or restaurant experiences. 10/10 recommend. Fabulous hotel with an amazing setting. The room was fabulous and so spacious and comfortable, the restaurant was wonderful for both breakfast and dinner when we visited. The staff are absolutely amazing - cannot do enough for you - so professional, friendly and wiling to assist in any request.

Just back from an overnight stay at the Ice House Hotel, Ballina. What an experience!. From the moment of arrival to our departure every staff member were so helpful and courteous. Food was beautiful, perfectly cooked and presented. Breakfast was so delicious with a vast menu to choose from. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable as was bathroom and towels were pristine. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night.
