Nandini Jungle by Hanging Gardens

Ubud
Wonderful & tranquil feeling to be in the jungle. Well kept & clean. No lizards in the room. Big plus point. There's some small room to improve though in terms of maintenance. Hopefully things get better for them post pandemic. 2 nights is sufficient for the experience. A quick mental health recalibration.

this place offers a calm and comfortable atmosphere. I booked the river view room, super clean and super spacious, complemented by traditional ambience and exceptional hospitality. This place also provide various activities for you to try. Every single detail was just great!

The hotel's villa is a two-story building, with bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, and courtyard swimming pools downstairs, and living rooms, bedrooms, and balconies upstairs with panoramic views of the tropical rainforest. The hotel also has a lot of activities. I took my children to an art class in the morning and chose to paint on stones and wooden eggs. These are local handicraft materials. Many handicrafts use these two materials. In the afternoon, there was a coffee class at the forest restaurant. The child tried to make a cup of coffee with his own hands. He looked at the scenery and drank a cup of coffee made by his son. He felt not too happy. A very recommended hotel. I have stayed in three hotels in Ubud. This is the only hotel with activity courses. It is also his favorite hotel in Ubud so far.

We book a villa with 2 bedroom. First room has bath tub + shower room, for 2nd room shower only. The first room very very nice, big bed & very soft. Including private swimming pool, and have outdoor living room, dining table & small kitchen set. The villa price is affordable compare to another nearby. I stay on November which is on wet weather, so on night time have a lots of laron, quite shock on the morning because I experienced the outdoor full of laron 😵💫 But the helper come to clean it away directly when we ask. It’s ubud ~ we blend with nature living.

Beautiful resort in a remote place. Get ready for high end pricing. Food is nice, but for the price average. There was a special dinner during the time of our visit, starring a Michelin chef from Zwitserland. That dinner was extremely disappointing. Breakfast is high end. Spa services are extremely overpriced, but good quality (but in nice resorts in Ubud they are comparable and half price). One big remark: the pool temperature (public pool and private pool) is too low. And staff is not able to fix it. For such a property quite a faux pas. Forget your floating breakfast; you will not be able to stay in the water till the end. Shuttle service limited and stops after 3 pm (so you won’t go anywhere else😉). Taxi is easy alternative by the way. 30 minutes till center.

Nestled amidst the lush heart of Ubud, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that made my escape from the chaos of daily life a true blessing. Masakali Retreat, oh boy, where do I even start? If you’re yearning for a real escape that feels like a warm hug from Mother Nature, look no further! From the moment I stepped foot into this haven of tranquility, I was spellbound. The aura of relaxation enveloped me like a cozy blanket, instantly melting away my worries. The rooms? Oh, they’re nothing short of a dreamy abode. Think cozy, serene, and tastefully simple – just what the doctor ordered for a digital detox. The star of the show? The refreshing plunge pool that’s like an oasis of coolness in the tropical heat. A dip there, and all your worries are bound to vanish like bubbles. Now, let’s talk about those amenities. Humble, yes, but oh-so-perfect! Who needs fancy-pants frills when you’re in a place this magical? The fast WiFi? It’s like the retreat respects your need to stay connected to the world, but gently nudges you towards embracing the beauty of the present moment. And then there’s Ira, the host extraordinaire. I kid you not, this woman has a heart as warm as the Balinese sun. Her infectious laughter and genuine care make you feel like you’re staying at a dear friend’s place. From sharing local secrets to ensuring every whim is met, Ira is the cherry on top of an already scrumptious cake. But the real star of Masakali Retreat? Nature herself. The symphony of chirping birds, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the soothing hum of the wind – you’ll be serenaded by Mother Earth herself. It’s a place to switch off, unplug, and become one with the enchanting surroundings. So, if you’re seeking an escape that’s far from the ordinary, where time slows down and your soul finds its rhythm again, Masakali Retreat is your ticket to bliss. Pack your bags, leave your worries behind, and get ready to experience Ubud in its most authentic, calming embrace. Trust me, this slice of paradise will leave you rejuvenated, recharged, and yearning for just one more plunge into that serene pool.
