Aksari Resort Ubud by Ini VIE Hospitality

Ubud Bali|2.61km from Museum of Art Jero Bang Pinatih
The Resort is beautifully laid out and located on a steep valley side overlooking a stream. The large infinity pools and the private pools appear to cascade down to the stream. Despite the slope it is easy to get around. The rooms are large with great forest views but the design of the bathroom may concern those that insist on privacy from whoever is sharing with them. A large Decal on the toilet glass would fix this. There is a musty smell in some rooms which may be from the exterior vegetation or a lack of attention to the air-conditioners. The spa staff were very professional and good at their job. The staff in general are extremely efficient, friendly and constantly wanting to help. If I am to balance out my review it would be in 3 areas. The staff seemed to need more guidance on how to better help the guests. We asked if there was anything special happening in Ubud to celebrate Independence Day. We were told either nothing was happening or there would be a lot of people. We made our own way to Ubud where there was a street parade with music and dancers that went on for 2 hours. On another occasion we were escorted to the local village where we saw just a few people preparing for a funeral ceremony. One of our favourite waitresses in the restaurant explained that it was her village and everybody was preparing for a mass funeral (cremation). This event only happens once every 3 years but because of Covid it had been 5 years since the last one and there would be 69 individuals cremated. This sounds a bit macabre to watch as a tourist but the following day we were spellbound for 4 hours watching and being involved in a celebration and festival for these cremated villagers. It was a highlight. Again the Resort staff in the main did not know or care about it happening just 15 minutes away. The restaurant food was good but I cannot understand why they had run out of Chardonnay while the Housekeeping staff had bottles of it. Here again, some staff knew about it but management did not. Finally, it must be mentioned that the resort is quite a long way to the town of Ubud so adding some restaurant variety is not easy. I would like to have been told about what are the main features to see in Ubud and around the area. We found out because our beautiful waiters and waitresses became good friends and filled us in. Something at the front desk for those who are not able to easily befriend the staff would be an improvement. I think the only Management person we met was in the restaurant. If all you want is a comfortable climate and to lay back around a pool with an occasional massage, a basic menu, and beautiful quiet surroundings then Aksari is very good. If you think you close to the life in Obud, you are not.

Pinggala Villa Ubud

As a couple 4 nights room 202. Reservation Hotel. Com Of the hotels we have visited in the Ubud region, the Pinggala is the most expensive and the least good. It’s a bar of concrete, gray, sad and without charm. The room goes up the note it is spacious and bright we were on the 1st (recommended) bathroom with bathtub (no hairdryer). slightly tired bedding and severely faulty WiFi. A large swimming pool with jacuzzi to relax in. Good breakfast (recommended) for the rest the restaurant's cuisine is uninteresting. Friendly and smiling staff. With all the calm and serene hotel offers in the sector influenced by the good ratings of the reviews we could have chosen better we regret our choice.

I felt like I found a treasure. They were all kind and comfortable. It's so beautiful. Especially, outdoor toilets and showers are so nice. The pictures were pretty from my point of view, and it wasn't enough for all of them to be captured, so I don't have a lot of pictures because I usually take videos. This is the place where I took the most videos and of photo in the 10 days . Breakfast is a little bit reluctant to eat buffet breakfast when the coronavirus is in vogue these days. I loved the way you ordered it. One drawback here is mosquitoes and ants. But I love it so much that I can stand them. I'm going to visit you again at 100%.😍

I ended up extending my stay here so this is my second review. Loved my stay here, very peaceful, service was great and the food was really nice. Only downfall is that it is a bit far from the city center of Ubud so just trying to leave the villa takes some planning. I’m a get up and go type of person so that is hard to do cause Grab in the area is not really possible. Otherwise, everything was great.

Excellent villa with a beautiful view of the pool and a quiet environment. Good maintenance and very friendly staff. The cabins are responsive but that is expected with this style of construction and not disturbing for us. The city's quiet environment without sounds with sporadically some sounds of nature. One little point is that the shower has little hot water and is quickly cold again. However, this is 5 stars because the staff is very friendly and flexible! (Last minute change of breakfast and deliver scooter earlier and thus pay less than before agreed)
