Luxe Villas Bali

Ubud Bali|0.47km from Kajeng Rice Field
If you are on the fence about whether or not to splurge on LUXE Villas Bali, the answer is YES. Yes, you should splurge and stay here. I have stayed at some boutique luxury villas in Thailand (Amphawa, Khao Yai) and also several J.W. Marriotts (Hua Hin, Phuket). They can't hold a candle to LUXE Villas because the service here is exceptional and unparalleled! The staff is so kind and friendly. They know your name and remember you throughout your stay. The front desk is open 7 AM - 11 PM but they have 24 hr service via the WhatsApp concierge number, so I was able to talk to them in the USA to arrange the car before flying to Indonesia. Anything you could want, they can help you book it - private yoga, private massage, activities, car service, etc. We booked two excursions with outside companies; the LUXE concierge asked for the phone number of the company and from there, LUXE arranged the pick-ups for our excursions. For our early morning excursions Luxe either arranged a breakfast box, or they were able to take our breakfast orders the night before and serve us breakfast at 7:30/8. We met the owner, Paul, and he was also helpful in recommending places in town for us to visit. I asked him about the hotel - he and his wife built it from 2010 - 2014, and did ecological consultation to ensure everything is eco-friendly, including the filtration system, as you can drink from the tap. This is another reason why I chose to book this stay. The hotel is tucked away between picturesque rice paddies. It is located on a motorcycle-only road, but they have bikes to bring your suitcases. I saw families with young children (3 yo) stay at LUXE Villas, and the motorcycle drivers are very gentle when driving so don't worry if you've never ridden one before or have children. For each day you stay, they have a shopfront in town called Luxe Lounge, open from 1 pm - 9 pm. You can drop your shopping bags there to be taken back, or go there when you need to call a ride back to the hotel. If you return after 9 pm, just message the concierge on WhatsApp. The dining service (the Grill @ LUXE) was exceptional. I should write a whole post about the restaurant alone but our best meals in Ubud were here. The truffle mash was to die for! The cost is comparable to an upscale dinner in America but the food quality and service are much, much better. On the booking, I noted that it was our honeymoon and when we arrived we were greeted with a beautiful honeymoon flower welcome sign. They brought us straight to our room and gave us welcome drinks (cucumber refresher) while showing us the suite amenities. The suites are stylish and high-quality in furnishings and fixtures. Only once we finished the tour did they have us sign for check-in (I signed inside the room, not at the check-in desk), and they brought our suitcases up for us. In the evenings when we were in town, they turned down the bed for us and left chocolates on the bedside tables. There was a definite advantag

The Samara Villas & Restaurant

Ubud Bali|0.21km from Kajeng Rice Field
I cannot say enough positive things about this family-operated gem of a hotel!. I stayed at The Samara for two weeks and was very impressed by all aspects of the hotel. -It's extremely well located, tucked into lush rice fields just north of the center of Ubud, close enough to get to town in a few minutes on a scooter but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel quiet and serene. The only noise at night was that of the frogs and crickets chirping softly in the background. - The hotel provides guests with a cell phone to be used to call for a scooter pick up in town or you can walk through a lovely street full of small shops and houses and then beautiful rice fields if you prefer. -The pool was beautiful and well maintained, as were the rooms. The outdoor shower attached to the bathroom was great and very private. And the landscaping and the overall layout of the hotel, rooms and lobby were clearly well thought out and beautifully designed. -The hotel is small, which made it easy to meet and chat with other guests. -As a female traveling alone, I felt very safe and well cared for. I felt the owners and staff genuinely cared about my well-being and were exceptionally kind and helpful. - Such gracious service! The staff could not have been friendlier or more professional. They patiently answered all our questions (easiest way to get around, arranging for taxi drivers, restaurant recommendations, etc.) and accommodated requests both small and large. I would highly recommend this lovely and charming hotel to anyone and hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the future!

The location is a bit biased, but quiet, there is a kindergarten nearby, there will be music in the morning. The room is old, the facilities are incomplete, there is no hot water bottle and toiletries. The external environment is good, the rooms are independent, there are two doors, one door is open full of green eyes, and the plants grow well. Breakfast is made now, the taste is OK, the staff is more enthusiastic, the service is not bad.

We had a beautiful and comfortable stay month-long stay the Santana Villa in February 2024. We were three women traveling together and the the villa was so spacious and accommodating that we never felt crowded. It was also great to have a full kitchen and dining area, so that we did not always have to eat out. The villa is situated at the edge of the rice field and gorgeously landscaped with colourful shrubs, flowers, and frangipani trees. The swimming pool, where we could actually swim short lengths back and forth, was not only cooling, but also a way to get a little exercise. We also received some wonderful massages, provided in house. The property is beautifully maintained inside and out by the friendly staff. I cannot say enough about how kindly and thoughtfully we were treated there. I highly recommend Satori Villas, and in particular, the Santana Villa, to anyone planning a trip to Ubud, Bali.

Wonderful hotel! Large, beautiful, well-groomed area. Everything is green, there are a lot of figures on the territory, it’s quiet and calm. Quite a large pool. Towels for the pool are provided. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is vegetarian. Choice of rice, noodles or eggs and fruit salad. Yoga is held at 7 am, 80,000 rupees. There is a spa on site. Outside the territory, a massage is 2 times cheaper. For massage and yoga, another 21% is charged. There is a restaurant on site. I had to do some work at night, I worked in a restaurant, the lights were on. The taxi could not take us to the hotel. The street is not very wide, and bikes get in the way of the car. We had to walk 700 meters. We ordered a transfer back to the airport, 350,000 rupees, the car drove up to the hotel. The only negative is the lack of a kettle in the room. Hot water was collected from a cooler at the reception. In general, I have only pleasant impressions about the hotel!

Wayan and Komang really make you feel at home. Their beautiful homestay is a 5 minute walk to the Palace and Saraswati Palace and many other places you'll want to visit in Ubud. Wayan is an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide and can take care of all your visa and all logistics needs in Bali. The rooms are nice and spacious with tons of hot water. I thoroughly enjoyed my month there - the second time I've stayed!

Wina Ubud B&B is only a short walk to the palace, temple and markets. We were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of our room, with daily room service provided as well. Best of all, each day we were greeted with warmth and kindness. If you would like to experience Bali in a traditional family homestay I would highly recommend Wina Ubud B&B. Breakfast served every morning was a treat with yummy banana pancakes, fresh fruits, juice and coffee. Thank you Ketut for making our stay in Ubud extra special.
