The beach in front of the pool and rooms at this hotel is truly beautiful, but unfortunately, my stay was marred by clear racial discrimination. When I asked where the food was, staff would simply point with their chin instead of speaking, and the way they greeted Western guests was completely different from how they treated Asian guests.
One staff member in the breakfast restaurant named "Yogani" was especially disrespectful. When I asked for an ice cream spoon, Yogani gave me a spoon from a tray covered in melted ice cream—a tray that had just been cleared, with used spoons still on it. Since my English isn’t strong, I showed confusion, and instead of apologizing properly, Yogani just pushed the dirty spoon toward me again. Only after I pointed to the tray did they begrudgingly say "Sorry," but the promised clean
