Le Bamboo Bali

The hotel is stunning, was exactly what we hoped it would be. We watched the sunset (almost) every night from our overhanging hammock and could see the stars from there once it was dark. The breakfast was nice but we preferred to go out just to try more options. Was lovely to be surrounded by plants and bamboo. The pool and pool area is a lovely place to chill with a beautiful view of the sea. The area was close to town (you could walk, but I would recommend a scooter/e-bike) but was quiet and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.

We were so excited to stay at Le Bamboo Uluwatu — it looked like the perfect tropical escape. We booked the villa and arrived just five hours later, only to find out that the room had no air conditioning. Nowhere during booking was this made clear in a noticeable way, and for someone like me — who has a documented medical condition and cannot sleep without AC — this was a serious problem. We immediately brought this up with the staff and requested a cancellation or at least the option to move our dates or receive a partial refund. Their response? A flat, robotic “No”, over and over again. We spent two exhausting days trying to resolve this — explaining the health situation, sending the medical documentation they requested — and after jumping through all their hoops, they still refused to offer any help at all. No refund, no voucher, no date change — not even a hint of understanding or professionalism. Just endless messages blaming “management decisions” while completely ignoring the human side of hospitality. It was impossible to sleep, and what should have been a beautiful experience turned into a stressful and frustrating mess. Bottom line: if you care about comfort, transparency, and being treated with basic respect, stay far away from Le Bamboo. Gorgeous photos don’t make up for terrible customer service and lack of basic amenities like AC in a tropical climate.

I stayed last week at this hotel, the property was dirty, stinky, staff wasn’t helpfully, swimming pool was dirty. I absolutely don’t recommend this hotel, I would not ever return. Please find some external help to manage your property. Horrible stay
