Hotel Puri Bambu

I have no idea why it's rated so highly. The pool surrounded by greenery and the open-air dining area have a certain a**osphere, but the rooms are just awful. There's no sunlight and it's always dim, the beds smell like dust, the shower barely has any hot water, and the sheets and towels are worn out and tattered. It's so dilapidated that it seems like a relic of the past, and the moment I entered the room I intensely regretted choosing this hotel. If it was this cheap, I could accept it, but I can't understand why it's so expensive... Just being in the room made me feel depressed, so I went outside, but there was absolutely nothing around (except for the restaurants along the beach). Just being there made me feel depressed. I chose this hotel just because it was close to the airport, but I only regret not staying in Kuta.

Discovered in 2018, this hotel seduced us with its charm, calm and the extreme involvement of the staff in helping us organize our various transfers. We therefore returned there 3 times during our 2023 stay in Indonesia (Bali, Papua). From the reservation to the welcome and the help once again provided to reach our different points of contact, we were very well served by Iin. We had flight problems and multiple delays, but when we arrived there was always someone waiting for us. We were able to have good hot meals outside of usual hours. In 5 years, the hotel has aged like us but it retains its charm with its magnificent garden and swimming pool. Certainly the rooms are a little dark but they all have outdoor terraces. The hot drinks available all day are also very appreciated. PURI BAMBU is and will remain our strategic and logistical location near the airport because the service and friendliness of its staff are remarkable. Thanks to Iin and his team for the advice, the quality of the vehicles and drivers made available at very reasonable prices.

Beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful swimming pool. Very friendly welcome. The staff is very helpful (no wifi in the room but resolved the next day) Disappointing breakfast! No fresh juice! Choice between Indonesian and egg tartine. On the other hand, a very good little Indonesian pancake. Unlimited tea, coffee and water. In short, good but with a little effort it could be much better! Close to Jimbaran beach but not much else around. But calm down! Value for money ok but for the future I will choose another

I have been to Bali no less than 20 times and I can say without hesitation that Puri Bambu Hotel is the best value for money hotel I have stayed in in Indonesia. The hotel provides friendly and professional service from check-in to check-out. There were basically no issues and all my requests, such as rubber bands to protect the DVDs or a bathroom scale to weigh my bags before leaving, were met. The room was clean, the housekeeping was excellent during my 10 day stay, the breakfast was generous and reasonably priced. (Butter tuna is delicious). You can choose to dine in the restaurant or in the tranquil garden by the pool. Speaking of the pool, it is very large and has a safety guardrail, and the water temperature is just right. There are about 60 people working at the hotel, one of whom I spoke to has been working here for 18 years. This also ensures the hotel's service quality. This is a family hotel with a young and energetic manager. Due to his intensive management, all employees work in an orderly manner. Of course, the hotel is not perfect. The only drawback is that walking to the famous Jimbaran Bay restaurants requires crossing a 400-meter-long busy road full of vehicles, and there are no clear traffic lights. Of course, this cannot be blamed on the hotel. The government should be responsible for this and install traffic lights. I have no hesitation in recommending Puri Bambu Hotel to anyone holidaying in Bali. Harvey Deegan
