I like, almost love this place. Love everything about it and what they stand for except for 1 thing. Almost every protein option here is fried. This is a Mecca of healthy food, but they insist on fried chicken and fried fish. I would come here 4x a week if they offered grilled chicken or fish alongside all of their other beautiful food. I just don’t understand it, they go to great lengths to make their food healthy -yet their only fish or chicken offerings are fried. (Other than bony small chicken portion on their otherwise fantastic curry). Otherwise fantastic place!

We chose this hotel for our stay in Ubud as we believed that the concept was very interesting. This hotel is the real definition of eco friendly. The whole place have been built in such a conscious and smart way that nature has been untouched! It is very clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is really good!! I recommend this place for those who like quiet places, as it is not situated in the center of Ubud (but still very close - 10 min drive). All in all, this place is an experience on its own, an amazing stay in a guilt free & eco friendly place in the middle nature, a must try!

Saw this place in a magazine, so thot to try with the kids to show them about sustainability. Didnt expect it is for hard core adventurers. First, the real place isnt like the photos shown. They are more run down and just not as pretty. It was built many years ago, so it is quite old now. Expect old amenities, old facilities. Second, the water heater is using gas not electricity. It means it’ll be either very hot or very cold, nothing in between, unless you keep adjusting it. I managed to take a quick shower with warm water by keep adjusting it while showering. My son didnt and he gave up trying:D Third, we didnt expect there were so many insects in the villa. Big black ants, moths, spiders, wasp, flies, mosquitos. They were on the bed, on the floor, flying around. Too much more than we could bear. I could understand this is eco-hotel, they want to encourage people to live with zero waste, so they use water gallon instead of water bottles. But somehow after using the water gallon in the room to rinse the glass, I had diarrhea 🤣 Should have figured out the hygiene level after seeing those insects I am sure the staffs tried their best to accomodate, but it just didnt work for our family. We can do camping & glamping, yet not this one 😂
