The service and hospitality from the staff were 10/10 🫶🏼
We were welcomed with watermelon + lime juice, while completing our simple check in process. Then escorted by the Operations Manager Dewa to have a mini tour around the compound before heading to our room.
The in-house chef is great at preparing vegetarian food, and is good at coming up with vegan options. The breakfast spread is really good, we were often way too full by the end of it 😆
It’s nice being in the middle of the forest - fresh air, nice nature vibes - except you definitely have to take extra steps to prevent bugs from coming near you.
The bathroom is super spacious and rustic, and comes with a bathtub made of stone and a toilet fitted with bidet seat. We didn’t use the bathtub as I’m pregnant and it’s set on top of stones (i feel like it may be dangerous if i have to step out of there 🙈).
Our room has a TV with netflix which is really nice to have as entertainment 😄 since we did not end up using the private pool outside the room. It was a bit stale and dirty on the first two days of our stay, before cleaning happened on the 3rd day.
Free shuttle services to Ubud town area daily! Do note that Grab likely would not work here, better luck with Gojek based on our experience 👍
Overall, definitely recommend this retreat for anyone looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city!

Great room type, full of jungle feeling, typical Bali Ubud style, fully vegetarian restaurant, breakfast is also very nutritious and delicious, and the service staff is also very good

Wow. BeingSattva is a true gem of Bali. Perfect location - town center is a quick ride away, still convenient, but it was really perfect to be outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud. There are also waterfalls nearby and the owners, Subba and Renuka, are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about providing recommendations and support for outings off the grounds. About the grounds… just wow. You really feel like you’re smack in the middle of the jungle while luxuriating in the most beautiful accommodations, from the rooms to the infinity pool to the yoga pavilion. I really appreciated the healthy, wholesome vegetarian cuisine - especially the breakfast. It was an extremely welcome respite from the heavier, meat-forward cuisine in town. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay and I enjoyed the complimentary yoga every morning. My only regret is not staying longer. I won’t be making that mistake when I return, which I hope will be soon. Thank you, Subba, Renuka and the whole BeingSattva family!

BeingSattvaa is a gorgeous property in Ubud with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The property is lush green and you are right in the middle of trees and nature. Their swimming pool, which is surrounded by trees, is a unique feature of the property. The food, especially the breakfast was a delight everyday. The smoothie bowl was yum! The property is surrounded by friendly villages and you can go for walks in the morning and take a peak into the lives of Balinese folks. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of food options you can check out if you don't have a vehicle (apart from the great restaurant on campus). We had 2 suite rooms - one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs rooms were slightly larger we felt though we had a great time on the property. Extremely peaceful and lovely.

BeingSattvaa is a magical retreat set amidst lush greenery. The owners, Renuka ji and Subba ji are absolute gems . They have created a space so beautiful, so thoughtfully too. They have a crew of such lovely staff who assisted us on our day trips , our daily meal requests and they thoroughly understood how to navigate when we had our Silent day too. From the Balinese style rooms to the delightful vegan and vegetarian cuisine , all done in-house (you must ask Renuka ji for her special icecream!), your body and mind and soul (and tummy) will be in heaven :) As part of a yoga retreat group, we had all our sessions in their beautiful yoga shala and even had the honor of having Subbaji take us through guided meditation . Also look out for the magical meditation cave - so so special. The retreat I never knew I needed, thank you for creating a piece of heaven Renuka & Subba :)

Beingsattvaa is a place to go for an immersive spiritual respite from the worldly noise around us. One would emerge feeling replenished in Mind, Body and Spirit! For me, the new state of Being is "Nothingness is Peace!" I see other group participants liberated with a renewed sense of self, driven by new goals, affirmation , direction, love and support! The owner, Subba has an innate ability to connect with both staff and participants , looking into their needs, making the experience at the resort luxuriant in its simplicity with great food and company! It is by far my new favorite spot around Ubud. I will come again for sure! It is a tranquil, magical, healing, loving space that feels like you are transported to another world ♥️ The hosts and staff are just incredible!! We adored them!!
