We spent 2 nights at this resort. The first night was in a ‘superior’ room #2021. We were very disappointed as there were key things missing like a safe, hand-towels, hand soap, only 2 coat hangers, the toilet was loose, only 1 bedside table, etc. Saying all of that the view was amazing. We complained to management and were told that we would be moved to a different room for the second night and that unfortunately, as the hotel had been fully booked, they had had to put us in that room. The manageress upgraded us to an ‘executive’ room which is beautiful and as compensation offered us either a free massage or lunch - we accepted the room upgrade but declined the other offers of compensation as we felt that she was taking our feedback on board and wanted to improve on their failings and a room upgrade was more than enough for us. I am guessing, reading the reviews, that some rooms are much better than others or have already been renovated and we were just unfortunate. The restaurant food is fairly limited and by comparison to other meals we have eaten in Bali so far, we were quite unimpressed. Negatives: * the staff are not trained well enough in customer service, albeit that they try their best to assist where necessary - they are just not very forthright. You need to constantly ask then for another drink, or where things are, etc * there is no information in the rooms as to what meals the restaurant offers, where the swimming pool is and if there are towels or not, what the local village of Munduk offers, any activities, whether they will book any tours, etc Positives: * the staff are all willing to help, albeit that they speak very little English, so sometimes things get lost in translation * the views are very far reaching and beautiful * if you manage to get a good room, you will surely be very happy
