Very beautiful and quiet place. All staff are very helpful and very friendly. The foods are nice and provide free shuttle service. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and experience.

Location required driving to get to main road. But not too far away from city centre. Still acceptable! Chill, nice and safe environment. would stay again if going around the area next time!

The Traditional twin room is unique and interesting. Big bathtub settled in living room kept enough hot water. I was really enjoyed it.
The Traditional twin room didn’t have some equipment compared with Ubud room and Deluxe room (TV, clothes hanger, refrigerator, texture of comforter).
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Free shuttle bus between hotel and Ubud city was very helpful.
It may not only like here, I had many mosquito bites in restaurant and room. It may better to take care if you prone to mosquito bites.

Absolutely loved this hidden gem ! Located out of Ubud centre but with a free shuttle into Ubud offered 4 times a day it’s fabulous! The staff ( family ) at Ubad are exceptional ! They really made you feel ‘ at home ‘ . We originally planned to stay only 2 nights but extended our stay because it was too nice to leave ! Two lovely pools and the on site restaurant serves lovely food . We will definitely return next time we come to Bali .

Friendly, but not able to grab Grab due to taxi drivers in front of the resort.
Other than that, it's close to downtown Ubud and it's okay.

Very cosy and relaxed. Friendly and laidback staff that did everything to help us during our short stay of 2 nights. Very helpful in a family like manor. We came as guest but left as friends. It gave us a sort of exclusive back packer feeling. We can really recommend this place!

What a great place to be. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are great and there are two pools. There is a shuttle to the center of Ubud four times a day. We can recommend this hotel to couplet, familys and backpackers.

I loved staying here! the rooms, garden, pools and staff are wonderful. They hav e a 2 level cafe, bar and serve a beautiful breakfast that is included in the room cost. I appreciated that it is outside the hustle and busrle of Ubud. They offer shuttle service to the center of Ubud 4 times a day; 9, 12, 3 and 6PM The rooms are spacious with everything you need. Hot pot, fridge, tv, Wi-Fi. The bathrooms have a shower and big bathtub. Very clean, good towels.

A heartwarming experience. Everything they do is done wholeheartedly to make us happy. Great staff ( Rian, Bella, Sri, and Linda)❤️They provide free shuttle service to the UBUD market. Positive energy is everywhere. I simply enjoyed my stay ❤️

A perfect retreat away from everything in Ubud. The staff are amazing and so attentive, Linda (I think) was amazing. The food was made fresh and proper homemade with plenty of options for breakfast. The rooms are so clean and spacious. The air con works so good couldn’t fault! They made me feel a part of their family it was great! Thankyou It is very out of the way,however they offer a FREE shuttle regularly throughout the day which takes you to the centre on a timetable schedule which is perfect and they rent scooters Definitely be coming back when I come back to Bali ❤️

The room was nice, the bed comfy. The breakfast wasn't great. The hotel is also a little far out of town & although they offer a free shuttle into town, they are at 9am/12pm/3pm/6pm, so if you want to be out late or explore the town by night, there is no transport back. They also frown upon using Grab or Gojek and encourage use of the local taxis. The local taxis are ridiculously priced at IDK80,000 to go into town, whereas a Grab bike is IDK6,000. Needless to say, we used Grab a lot as unfortunately the local taxis were just too expensive!

You might not have yet aware that Ubud is designed as cultural destination where local economy is highly protected by the locals. Therefore big corporation is mostly banned to operate in most areas of Ubud, including ours. This is applied to big company online taxis operator (Grab, Uber, Gojek/Gocar) and even meter taxi. It is the same concept that you won't find any KFC or McDonalds here in Ubud. They are still banned by the local community. Just because people can use those platform somewhere else, doesn't mean they can use them anywhere they like. That's just not the case in Ubud. And comparing a local taxi ( car) with Grab BIKE is definitely not apple to apple. So, as a traveler, if people like Ubud or any other beautiful places all over the globe, it is definitely wise to respect and support their local rules, regulation, and above all; their culture and peoples. I loved staying at Ubad Retreat! It is a family-owned hotel, 15 mins drive from Ubud centre, well connected via free shuttle provided by the resort. I had an amazing time with the whole Ubad family who spoiled me especially on my birthday. I would recommend this facility to whomever would like to experience the true old village vibe of Ubud, in a lovely environment and feel like home. Suksma Ubad family! See you soon! ❤️🙏🏼

Ubad Retreat is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff is amazing and will make you feel as if you are home. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and right near a swimming pool so that you can take a dip when you please. Check in was easy and a tasty breakfast in the morning was included in the price. Service was excellent and always rendered with a smile. We really enjoyed our stay at Ubad Retreat and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Ubud.
