We loved our stay at Maar Resort. It is very quiet and peaceful, there are literally no other hotels around, so you get to experience a more ‘local’ area. The staff were outstanding and always happy to help.
The view from the balcony, jacuzzi and hammock was gorgeous and we loved falling asleep to the sounds of the rainforest.
The restaurant that is attached to the resort had great Italian food and they offer to deliver your food (including your breakfast) and drinks to your room for no extra charge.
There is a beautiful waterfall in walking distance and a few shops and an atm down the road. Other than that it is quite secluded, so you’ll need to arrange transport if you want to eat somewhere else.

A very excellent resort, quiet and clean, and the hotel staff are very friendly and respectful. I forgot my spare phone after checking out, and they told me they had it and kept it until I sent someone to pick it up. Before they handed it over, they sent it to me.
The rooms have screens with a Netflix subscription and an Alexa device.
Some rooms have a private pool with an outdoor seating area and a natural view.
They offer massage services.
They also offer a breakfast delivery service to your room, and you can request a floating breakfast.
The communication method is excellent. As soon as you log in, you are added to a WhatsApp group with all the resort's supervisors. You can contact them via WhatsApp at any time, and they respond quickly.
They even send you the breakfast menu, and you choose your dishes and order them at a time that suits you, whether in your room or at their restaurant.
