Very well presented villa with a private infinity pool. Very attentive staff and good location. The living area is very spacious and open to the air, gentle breezes pass through and make this perfect for dining or just relaxing. The resort has a beach bar that delivers to you villa, breakfast is served in your villa each morning at a time to suit you. There isn't much scope for dinner, there is the Trattoria restaurant at the top of the resort next to the road do delicious pizza and pasta, but if you want anything else, you really need transport or need to book a driver to take you into the village or town of Amed. Bathroom is lovely with outdoor shower. Ample towels were provided on request. TV only in bedroom has Netflix or youtube. Disappointingly we were in the edge of the resort with fabulous views but there is a building site next door that the manager tried to keep quiet but you can really stop construction development. This went on all week, the place was full so we couldn't move villas. Also a screaming child in the villa behind us was very irritating. There are very steep steps up and down to the villa so not suitable if you can't mange these. Trips were arranged very efficiantly and were very good, including the airport transfer that was included. A very nice week, off the beaten track with not many tourists. The pool was fabulous but very deep, well over 5 feet all over, bar the seat edge, beware if you take kids or you are not very tall!

Aqua Marine beach villas is a small resort nestled into the hillside, in a quieter part of the Amed coastline. We stayed in villa Rinjani, fot two people. The bedroom was a decent size, with excellent AC. Indoor/outdoor bathroom with shower gels supplied. The outside terrace had a wow factor, looking over the infinity pool and across the gardens towards the sea. You get some great little extras with these villas like insect repellant, fly spray, smoke rings, 19L water dispenser and some basic medicines too. The gardens around the properties are well kept. There are sun loungers and deck chairs at the bottom next to a lovely little beach bar. The snorkeling right infront of the resort is great, there are some excellent corals with a variety of fish and turtles. We also spotted dolphins swimming by on several occasions. The staff at Aquamarine are very pleasant and make a good team. We had a couple of issues while we were there which were sorted in a friendly and caring way. Well worth a visit in our opinion!

Booked the Batu Tangga villa and my goodness what views! A Beautiful comfortable villa with a good range of different food options close by or have food made by in house staff member Sari. Absolutely fantastic after a long day scuba diving or snorkelling to be able to just eat at your villa instead of having to go out. A large range of food to choose from, all delicious. Sari has been absolutely amazing and has also helped us with finding taxis/transport around amed and also to and from the airport. The bedrooms are large, comfortable, air-conditioned and clean. Pool is a great size for relaxing, with a lovely ocean view. All the staff have been polite and friendly.

We stayed in Aquamarine Amed Makara Villa for 4 nights. We were halfway through our travels and we just wanted a place to settle and relax. It was the best decision to get away from the main towns and use this area to recharge. It was very easy to communicate with the staff via email prior to our stay. We used their transportation service to and from their villas which was reasonably priced. They even recommended stops to see on the way to take advantage of not wasting a day to drive back. The driver they chose was a gentleman who was very respectful and drove with caution. There are only 6 villas on the property; therefore, it was peaceful and not crowded. The staff clean the property and beach every day, so it is well taken care of. Our villa was located by the beach, so there was no obstructions to the beautiful view of the waterfront and very private from the neighboring villas. The bedroom was very simple. There is only a bed, side tables and a dresser drawer which is filled with extra bed linens or other items. There are no luggage stands, so we took two dining chairs and used them to place our luggage on to access our clothes. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The air con worked really well and it was very quiet. The bathroom is exposed to the outdoors, so not as cool as the bedroom if it is very hot. I kept my toiletries in the bedroom to prevent heat exposure. The towels are pretty old and should probably be replaced. But with the heat, you probably don't need towels to get dry. Though the bedroom was simple, the outdoor terrace was the superstar! This is where we stayed to read, dance to music and just stare at the water. Just turn on the ceiling fan and settle on the fantastic comfy couch. Occasionally, we would swim in our own refreshing pool if the sea was too rough for snorkeling. Snorkeling can be done just off the beach which was a nice convenience. It wasn't fantastic like other places we've been, but there was still some sea life to see. Tip: careful with getting off the hammock as it is at the edge of the terrace. Note: There are a few steps from the bedroom to the terrace, so those with mobility issues should consider this. Also, there might be a mess on the terrace in the morning because of the bats feeding at night. It gets cleaned up in the morning by staff. A great selection to eat for breakfast (western and local dishes) that is delivered to the terrace every morning; just make sure to fill in your order the day before. We ate at the Italian restaurant next door for dinners. Nice selection, especially if you crave something other than local food. There is a kitchenette for those who want to cook. If you've visited all the must tourist spots in Bali and you just want a quiet and relaxing place to stay to recharge, then this is the place to be.

My wife and I are today finishing 16 days in this wonderful location. It lived up to expectations based on past reviews, which for first timers in Bali was a relief for us. Aquamarine is a small quiet mini resort. Only a handful of villas so never gets too busy. There is an on site restaurant that does very good food and snacks, plus a beach hut bar which does nice drinks also if you are by the water at the ‘almost private’ beach. Each villa has a plunge pool which is such a treat after a hot walk or just to sun yourself at your villa then cool off. The villas are spacious inside and out, with air conditioning that works well. For me the only downsides were the weak water pressure in the showers, and the bed was too firm for me (but that is a very personal matter so depends on what you like). Also there was no clothes hanging space in the second bedroom. Expect lots of mosquitoes. The villas come with lots of bug spray, repellant and coils and the beds have net curtains which work very well. If you bring an ultraviolet plug in mozzie zapper with you that will also help a lot at night…they can be defeated, with vigilance! The staff are all friendly and helpful, and will arrange drivers, day trip experiences, shopping trips or restaurant transfers, or whatever you need. Everything is very prompt and on time when advised, but the staff are also flexible, especially around cleaning your villa. Gardens are well maintained. The villas have good wifi, and an on site security man overnight and are walking distance to several nice “warungs” or restaurants if you want a change from the on-site restaurant ( we alternated). The beach the villas overlook fronts about 3 other accomodation places and is also publicly accessible by stairs but we never saw more than 5 other people there. The swimming is nice and there are some snorkeling sights to be seen but it’s a mix of coral and rocks close to shore so wear beach shoes in. Other nearby beaches are better known for swimming and snorkeling, if you want to try them. The local fishermen also use it to park their boats and mend their nets. The views are amazing, amenities like shops and chemists only 10 minutes drive away, and good day trips on offer. We came here for the quiet and the scuba diving…did several fantastic dives at Amed and Tulamben, plus a nice day trip into the hills to local (ish) tourist sites. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Kuta, Seminyak etc, Amed is great and these villas will suit many. Some visitors had children but there is no ‘kids club’ or the like (which suits those of us who don’t want the extra noise!). It’s just a lovely, quiet beach stay. The staff include massage therapists and we had several lovely massages at the beachside massage bale. If we come back to Bali, would definitely come here again.

Beautiful villa. Amazing staff. Located right on the beach front. Can snorkel off the beach right over a beautiful reef. Tip 1: get up early to watch the sun rise and watch all the colorful local fishing boats sail back to shore after fishing all night. Very special. Tip 2: get a massage at the Bale at the beach. So good. Breakfast served to your villa. Delicious. 10/10. Loved it!

Villa Makara - 1 bedroom, is super private, comfortable, has a gorgeous view of and direct access to the beach, across from your own infinity pool. The beach out front is a shallow coral garden and the massage hut mere steps from your villa. There is a smart TV where u can log into your Netflix etc if you wish, but we didn’t. Internet was reliable but no phone service. Breakfast is an additional cost of around IDR300k per day for 2 which is quite steep compared to the charges of the local warungs. However, it’s very good quality and super convenient being delivered daily to your villa. There is a beach bar on the property to get cocktails etc, hire snorkel gear and book boat/snorkel/fishing trips. A 3-hour boat trip to the underwater statues at Amed (fantastic) and the Japanese wreck cost us IDR500k- we didn’t bother to negotiate, and it was great! So many tropical fish to feed at the reef in Amed! Massages were excellent at 170kIDR in a little hut just meters from the beach but private! Shower & aircon are great - stock up on snacks & drinks before u arrive. Filtered water is provided. The property manager was responsive via WhatsApp, and I was totally happy with everything at the villa! My only suggestion would be to offer more towels & better-quality towels as they are very thin and not very luxurious! The beach was clean and the ocean pretty clean too!

What a great place. The Villas are excellent. We had Makara Villa. See the photo. Uninterrupted view of the beach. The massage hut is right on the beach. Great sea breeze whilst getting a massage, nothing better. Breakfast was good and they bring to your villa. The bedroom is the only indoor area with aircon and a great view. Open lounge and kitchen area with your pool below- amazing. Outdoor private shower and hot water. They provide water so you don’t have to bring any if you wish. Good restaurants close by. The villas have restaurants. I recommend Trattoria - see review. But great food and drinks. Cheap. The service and people working here are very good and helpful. You can hire scooters and good price. Our villa was a single and great for couples. They have other villas with multiple bedrooms. Great activities like scuba diving, war ship wreck, spear fishing, snorkelling, fishing. Amed is around 4 hours from the airport. Winding roads for the last hour. An amazing peaceful place. There are many families here as well. We will be back.
