Everything was fine, the service staff was good in every way, but there is one issue. If you stay at this place, just understand that you can only stay in the hotel and can't go anywhere outside, like for sightseeing or renting a bike. The second thing is when you check out, a tax list will appear with charges for taxi tax, room service tax (even though you already pay a 20% tax when you order food, etc.), but they charge you again. No matter what you take, you'll see taxes everywhere. My bill was 4 million IDR, and you can assume that 1 million IDR was just taxes
. Well, overall, the location is great, the hotel is nice and amazing, and the staff is good. I am giving this review about the taxes so that the owner can make some changes and others don't have to face the same issue.

The living room is directly facing the sea, and the environment is very beautiful.
The public area of the restaurant is right on the seaside, which is very pleasant.
The hotel is newly opened and has only ten rooms, so it is very quiet and suitable for staying here quietly.

I would recommend 100% « Kris » who helps us a lot during our stay and always available to make our stay confortable. Concerning the food I would say that except the breakfast that is very good with fresh product the rest could be better. The service is very good and they make all to have a nice stay.

Our stay at semaya beach resort was absolutely fantastic! The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We want to give a special shoutout to the manager, kris who was incredibly helpful in planning our itinerary. Their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable. This is truly one of the best places I have ever stayed. It’s a new resort and it has been built to a very high standard. The rooms are incredible and the views from the rooms are epic. We extended are stay here, it is that good. The views from the bath are truly amazing. All the staff were so happy and friendly and always willing to help. The manager was very kind and printed out one of the recipes from the amazing food, he has also picked out the best coffee I have ever had while travelling. Kris and the bar staff were excellent and made some epic cocktails and were great to talk to. The waitresses in the restaurant were extremely friendly and so happy, really did make our stay. My favourite hotel on the island by far, the rooms took my breath away! Beautiful ocean views from bed, delicious varied menu and a private beach! Cannot fault this place and cannot wait to return. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, and the masseuse was incredible. Also have to point out how comfy and huge the beds are, literally like sleeping on a cloud Would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling to Penida❤️

I have been to Penida numerous times over the years and this is definitely the most 5 star place I have stayed in on the island. Wonderful rooms & bathrooms, great beach club, private beach, great food and wonderful staff! Located on the east side of the island where it’s a bit more quiet, but if you’re looking to unwind and relax.. this is the spot!

Fantastic! Together with my wife we came here to chill for a day. Entrance was free (we were very surprised about this) Semaya is really a magical place with a lot of peace and relaxation time on this sometimes busy island. The staff is very sweet! Mega views! Big thanks to employees Jessica and Novi R who knew how to pamper the guests! Easy to reach by scooter or taxi. You will be kindly welcomed upon arrival by the parking manager - shows you where you can park etc. For anyone looking for a place to chill for a day on Nusa Penida, this is the place to be!
