Rumah Kayu Resort

Great place in Bali. One of our favorite resorts on the island. People were all absolutely wonderful. Massages, food and beverages all exceeded our expectations. They also had a duo playing music one evening and they were spectacular! Beautiful grounds as well !

We had a very comfortable stay at this small cosy resort. We had a gecko in the room but when asked for help they came directly to the room to remove it. The staff was very helpful, i like their WhatsApp system. Great service. In the restaurant i enjoyed the Loempia’s. Also running through the area was very peaceful, from empty roads through rice fields.

I brought 22 people to Rumah Kayu for a yoga retreat. Our flight was delayed, and Rumah Kayu sent a driver at 2am to pick us up from the airport. He was kind and joyful and got us to the resort quickly. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The air conditioner worked very well and at times I was too cold. The rest of the group arrived at various times throughout the day, each one stating their transfer was easy and their drivers, provided by the resort, were very kind. Everyone was pleased with their accommodations and had no complaints. The restaurant was delicious. Breakfast offered so many selections we couldn't try them all. We arranged a buffet-style dinner for 2 nights, and the staff went above and beyond. I was so pleased. Ala carte dinners the other nights were delicious. Their yoga shala is beautiful. The staff arranged a flower mandala and other decorations, spa water, fresh water, and snacks. They laid out the mats and blocks and cleaned the space after. I didn't have to do anything but show up and teach. I paid extra for a flower mandala that was beautiful, surprisingly inexpensive, and so worth it. Checkout was so easy, and no one had issues with their bill. The resort gave us parting gifts and arranged a very nice bus to take us to our next location. It was so well done and so easy on my end. The staff was wonderful. Our rooms were well-maintained, the laundry service was great, and the spa was spectacular. Two of our guests left a substantial amount of IDR behind in their rooms, and the resort contacted me with a photo of the money asking how to return it to its proper owner. Their honesty and kindness were unmatched. I definitely recommend Rumah Kayu!

The hotel is amazing and luxurious. In the middle of the nature. The staff is always very friendly and they recommend us valuables places toll visit. The food of the restaurant is really good. Tarisma is specially the best from the hotel. She has always a big smile and had recommended places around sidemen. Thanks a lot everyone for the nice stay. Hopefully see you soon!

The location is a little bit out from Ubud. But i consider myself lucky, because Ubud Central is crowded especially during holiday season so for me i love the location. No worries, the resort provides a free shuttle to go to Ubud Center, or you can rent a scooter or get a local gojek to go. To reach the villa you will have tp drive through a very narrow street, its not a problem to those who are used to drive in Bali. The resort is beautiful, relaxing with pool facing a small river and small jungle. The garden and surrounding is well maintained and clean. They have only a few wooden villas. But all in good condition, with such pretty minimalist room, and clean. Good size bed, good smelling linen, the hot water and the water pressure is good also. Which i need after a long trekking to Gunung Batur. I was upgraded to their newest executive wooden house (it has a big tub). And given a late check out because i came back from Gunung Batur a little late. Thank you so much for all the smile and attention during our brief stay in Rumah Kayu Resort Ubud. I would recommend this resort if for those looking to stay in peaceful nature but still in comfort.
