My stay at Troulis Apartments was unfortunately quite disappointing. The biggest issue was with our room, Apartment No. 4. Located right by the entrance and reception, it suffered from constant noise. People were walking by and stopping throughout the day and night, making sleep near impossible. Even after falling asleep, you'd be jolted awake by noise, completely ruining a good night's rest. That's partially because of the entrance door that seemed paper-thin. Every sound echoed in the room, making it feel like you were right next to the people that were behind it. The apartment itself felt neglected. The furniture was old and had a musty odor, like mold. One of the beds also had a terrible squeak, making even the slightest movement a noisy affair for everyone in the apartment. The bathroom was a disaster zone. The drainage was terrible, causing a constant pool of water on the floor. The shower drain clogged easily, and everything looked outdated and poorly maintained. Even the sink wobbled precariously when you leaned on it. The view wasn't as advertised either. "Garden view" turned out to be a view of the street. Opening the window revealed a terrace right outside, followed by the main street with constant traffic noise from cars, scooters, and pedestrians. Breakfast was another letdown. The offerings lacked variety, with the same basic options served day after day. The quality felt cheap. Finally, the pool wasn't always clean. Sometimes, there was a strange, slippery film on the bottom that felt unpleasant. Overall, I cannot recommend Troulis Apartments, especially Apartment No. 4, avoid apartment no. 4 if you value sleep. The lack of sleep due to noise, the poorly maintained room, and the breakfast made for a frustrating stay.
