Find Siena Hotels With Balcony

The hotel is a great place to stay with. Receptionist named Neomi was very nice, kind and listening. The hotels surrounding garden and parking is great as well. (without the above I would give a rating of terrible) Breakfast is medium minus - we have expected far and beyond from a Sheraton/Marriot property.... The only one thing that really upset us was an incident where my laptop wireless mouse and keyboard were missing one AA battery. I went down to reception at 7:15am and asked for help - the best idea the team there had to provide is to go outside the hotel and find a shop. I've asked them to be a bit more creative - and they agreed to ask their maintenance department. When I can back at 8:00 the answer was still negative - maintenance department has no batteries. Given such a big place with so many electrical devices to handle - I was quite shocked and asked to share this incident with the duty manager upon my checkout - she is busy I was told. I left my mobile number and asked her to call me once she is free....I'm waiting for her call up until now... Conclusion - if duty manager provides such guest experience, why the other team members will not behave the same?!

It was a wonderful stay. Pros: * The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful views * Breakfast was good, plenty of options but till 10am on weekdays. And they really start taking away all the food at 10am. * Right in the center of the city, you can walk anywhere * They keep your suitcases after checkout. I asked them if I can come back for them later that day, and they were nice and kept them. Cons *No coffee machine in room. They do have a fridge though. *No iron in room but they do have an ironing room *No parking, but down the street there is free parking, a 8 min walk. I easily found a parking at 10.30pm

We were lucky to spend three nights at the Hotel Athena on our recent visit to Siena. Our room was comfortably large, nicely furnished, with a very comfortable bed with nice linens. The outdoor terrace and bar opened every evening at 5 (this is contingent on good weather, which we were fortunate to have); it's a lovely place to have a drink and enjoy the lovely view of the countryside and the sunset. Breakfast was included in our rate; the selection of breakfast items was good, with freshly baked pastries, scrambled eggs, a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits, plus cereal and yoghurt. Guests were expected to make their own coffee from the espresso/coffee machine. The staff was helpful throughout; the receptionists were gracious, the bartender very professional. The historic center of Siena is a fairly easy 15-minute walk from the hotel (prepare for some hills along the way). The nearest restaurants are about 8-10 minutes away by foot; we didn't try the hotel dining room except for breakfast. We'll certainly consider the Hotel Athena again when next we're in Siena; it's convenient to the center of town, and really nicely appointed.

When you go to Italy you go for the culture, the food, the beauty, and the experience. This hotel gives you all of these in spades. It is set on a magnificent property that seems to go forever. The staff is superb. We have traveled the world, and Michelle is one of the best concierge we have ever met. She is multitasking in a way not humanly possible and supports each task with politeness and thoroughness. The owners are so lucky to have her. Giovanni is a great chef. We took a cooking class with him and learned so much. It was fun and educational and eating our creations was so satisfying. We had the tasting menu one night, and it was phenomenal. The staff along with Agatha’s help made you feel special. And Gabriel is a fantastic bartender. Everyone else smiled and was helpful and wanted us to enjoy our stay. We did for sure. I do not know if we will make it back to this part of Italy again. But if we do, there is no doubt we will stay here again.

First of all, the service is very good. The front desk is super welcoming. It is the most enthusiastic hotel I have stayed at in Italy in two years. Seeing that I am a foreigner and I always communicate very slowly in English, I said that I can speak Italian with me, and then the waiter hurriedly I am sorry, and then answered my question patiently. The public environment is very artistic and retro. There is a garden outside. It is comfortable to sit on the sofa in the garden at night. The room is comfortable and the facilities are complete. The only shortcoming is that the breakfast is not. It’s made now, it feels like it was bought in the supermarket and eaten directly, and there are fewer varieties, overall it’s not bad, after all, the house price is relatively low, it’s good value for money 😁

Lovely lovely people. Before and during our arrival - so helpful. We had a few issues getting to the hotel and eventually arrived at 02.30 the next day. Received nothing but cooperation and help. Arrived and given keys to our 4 rooms to get to sleep. Paperwork after breakfast. Good breakfast and again, coffee beautifully served. What a delight. Good rooms. We had a superior room. What a terrace! Fantastic.

We were met by the lovely Joanna at 3pm who checked us in and explained the keys, breakfast form and times and good local traditional restaurants. Our room was Viridi Gallia chosen specifically for the 5m vaulted ceiling, pale furnishing, terrace and views of the countryside. The room, bathroom and terrace were luxurious and spacious, but the view...breathtaking! One day we witnessed balloons in the distance, swifts always flying around and an amazing vista of the terracotta pantiled roofs and rolling countryside around Siena. Every morning we had breakfast on the sunlit terrace (there is a shade structure) and this was a highlight. The housekeeping staff were excellent, always restoring the room to perfection after our trips out. While we enjoyed 98% of our stay the 2% deduction was for the mistakes in the breakfast supply - we asked multiple times for things that were forgotten (even though there was the list). That's a smal thing however,.. we'd like to thank Joanna again for being so friendly and courteous to us at the beginning and I'm sorry we didn't have a chance to say goodbye at the end - we were delighted overall with our stay. The hotel is beautiful, safe, quiet (no rowdy or loud voiced groups), and very clean. The hotel will book a taxi for the trip to the rail station - recommend not driving here as it's pedestrianised. All attractions are minutes walk away, including the Cathedral, Town Hall, other churches and Campo. We enjoyed the winding and some very steep streets, food, great vistas and friendly people of Siena.
