There is an employee that always gives us a hard time about getting a room with a copy of my DL. Everywhere else we are always able to check in that way. I don't see the pint of checking out of our room everyday and making us get out just to check in again at 2pm.

I had reservations in the Family King Suite (non smoking) from June 25-27, 2024. We checked in late due to our flight and arrived around 11pm. As we entered the room, there was a musty smell so we cranked up the A/C. Since it was so late at night and we were exhausted, we tried to have restful sleep, hoping the air would circulate. However, the smell lingered the next morning. We were concerned that there was mold. I spoke with the General manager, Mr. Abad, to notify him of our concerns. He reassured us that our room would be checked. I also asked for 3 fresh towels and informed him that even though I have the ”do not disturb” sign hung up while we are sightseeing, the housekeepers can enter to give the towels. I indicated that the sign was hung up so they did not have to make the beds and clean during our stay. When we returned back to the hotel after a full day of sightseeing, I asked Mr. Abad what he found out about the musty smell. He said that it was not mold and it was possibly from a previous guest who stayed there long term.(???) Not sure that was a good answer. I told him I left the A/C on colder than usual to circulate the air. When we entered the room, I noticed that some of the smell had dissipated but still not smelling fresh. I also discovered there were no towels that I had requested earlier. I attempted to call the front desk via room phone a few times but no one answered. This was about 5:15pm. Then I tried to call from my cell phone at 5:20pm and still no answer. I finally asked my niece to physically request towels from the front desk which was approximately 6pm. Earlier the same morning as I was getting breakfast, I was approached by the front desk worker, Dareli, that only registered guests are allowed to eat breakfast. I told her I was a registered guest. She said she was referring to my niece who had just arrived to visit me. I did not continue the conversation because I didn't want to make a scene, however in my mind what constitutes as a ”registered guest”, is there a way for her to know who is registered without asking me who I was, and how does she know my niece was not staying with us even though she did not arrive with us. It was quite embarrassing for all as if we were trying to sneak a breakfast that was probably worth a couple bucks. (I usually stay at a higher end hotel and only chose this one because it was near my nephew who I was visiting). Never had I been approached like this before at the higher end hotels (and their breakfast is much more than a couple bucks!). It is poor customer service and not very hospitable. As I was sitting in the lobby eating my breakfast and waiting for my other family members, I observed the same worker, Dareli, approach a gentleman who was visiting a hotel guest. After he used the restroom, he was approached by the worker, Dareli, who said (loud enough for anyone to hear) that the restrooms were only for registered guests. What?? I have neve

Mike at the Hamilton Bar was the best! After 5 nights of staying at the hotel, I would purposely visit him at the bar because he was so nice and made the best espresso martinis. Great customer service from Mike and the restaurant staff!

Checked in on Friday 6/3 for a wedding and checked out Sunday 6/5. The lobby, bar, and banquet rooms were all very nice. Hotel staff was very friendly, cordial, and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was great! Service at the wedding was top notch. The shower was severely lacking in water pressure, to the point where I felt like I was in a public gym, but I had no issue overlooking this. However, my overall very positive experience was greatly reduced with all 3 of my interactions with the onsite Valet. First encounter: Checking in, the wait for valet service was 25 min. Would have parked myself but there was no clear instructions on how to do so. Valet attendants showed no hustle (a lot of confusion, standing around, yelling, overall chaos) and then I even witnessed an attendant driving a $100K BMW bump into a parked pick up. This left me very unsettled leaving my car in their care. Nevertheless I did. 2) I called to have my car brought around Sat morning so I could retrieve an item I had left in the car. Attendant was somewhat rude and dismissive on the phone as well as in person. 3) After checking out, the valet process was, once again, pure chaos. I understand this is somewhat to be expected at 11AM on a Sunday. But again, there seemed to be no organization, no system, and just general disfunction with little care for the guest experience. Then, I witnessed an enraged guest screaming profanities because his car had been badly damaged while in the care of the valet service. There was easily $1,000 worth of body damage to his car. Finally after 30 min of waiting, my car was retrieved. No remorse or apology for the wait or overall experience. In general, very nice hotel and stay that was severely diminished by the valet experience. Bottom line, if you're going to force driving guests to pay $36 per night for a valet service, it needs to be far more efficient, friendly, and people need to feel comfortable leaving their vehicles.

My third time here, and likely my last. They did however give me a great room assignment based off of the preference call that I made prior to arrival. I am noise sensitive and they assigned me an end-room on the top floor; the entire four day stay was peaceful. And head Concierge Mary is the gem of the hotel; so personable and caring. The front, outside services team is leaps and bounds better than my stay a couple of years ago. Steve was wonderful as were the rest- all very proactive, friendly and welcoming. Again, a big difference from a couple years ago. And they still offer the Lexus driving program which is a great perk of staying at the Mansion, Dallas There was a horrific smell throughout the top floor guest hallway, especially towards the end where my room was. I went down two floors to check if all hallways smelled like this now, and that wasn’t the case. I can’t believe the staff did not notice this nor do anything about it for days. Additionally, the hallway by the gym has old worn carpet, which is a couple years past its replacement requirement, and I just don’t know how they think this is OK. Also smells bad when you enter the locker rooms by the gym. And then for the gym; it is no where near adequate enough for a hotel of the stature that the Mansion once had. A couple aloof, gentlemen that work at the desks in the lobby. This is not necessary, nor appreciated. My first night there I ordered room service and after almost an hour, waiting- at nearly 10 PM, I called and they said it was minutes away. The next morning I called and asked them to please escalate and maybe do something about the charges and they never did, because at check-out they were still there, and I had to request them to be reviewed and possible adjusted. The hotel is in such a wonderful, quiet location right outside the city center in beautiful Turtle Creek and it’s a shame that it’s not quite what it could be.
