Danubius Hotel Marina

Pluses + + Danubius Bubbles club a children place (playground) to play, like a kindergarten + Lots of space available + 3 elevators + 11 levels + Great view from almost every room + Very clean inside almost everywhere + Restaurant all inclusive with 3 meals a day and snaks almost all day (between meals if you are not around during breakfast, lunch and dinner); lots of food you cannot get bored (in my opinion) + Highspeed internet almost everywhere inside and outside + Good price 95 euro/night (we stayed 5 nights) + Inside pool 25 meters with 4 lanes for swiming + sauna (included in the price of the room) + Outside pool for fun and for kids + Big parking (I thing 100 cars can park there, and 10 buses) + Nice grass beach + Videogames for kids (at least 10 equipments) + Pool table + Some alcohol drinks included + Air Conditioning (Heat and Cooling) Minuses - - Cold in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner (I didn't understand why it was so cold); only one day it was warm; in the rest of the days very very cold; food was very good but I had to go far away from the restaurant after eating - Very small bathroom - Lobby bathroom smelly and not very good ventilated - Clean the room was the sign on the door ”change the towells” it is written that if you want the room to be ”refreshed” put the ”change the towells sign” on the door; what happened? Besides fresh towells, nothing. No cleaning was made in the room. We had to stay in squalor; we were in a hotel where we payed others for acomodation, to be kept clean. We were not at home where we have broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, etc; I've asked at the reception how many times a week they clean the room? They answered ” Daily” I'm sorry but that is a lie; The receptionist told me that he'll send someoane to clean right away but I've told him that we just arrived and we want to rest, and to send someone tomorrow after breakfast when we were out 6-7 hours during the day; nothing happend; in the 4th day came the cleaning lady and cleaned the room but it was to late because the next day we were gone - water temperature in the piscine 28 dgr C; good if you want to swim as a sport, to be in shape; but if you go with a small child (4-5 years old the child is cold, and shivers; that's what happened to our child) Conclusion: I would go there again

From the photos and location this hotel really looks the business. Please don’t be fooled like we where. I pride myself on being an adept researcher and avid traveller. I stay in 5* hotels, air bnb’s, and everything inbetween. This hotel though takes the cake!!! I should have known by the checkin experience something was a miss.... the grumpiest checkin person ever, probably not suited for customer facing posts. We arrived for our 2pm checkin early, asked if we could use the facilities (pool) whilst we waited for our room to become available, to which they obliged. However they informed us our room wouldn’t be available until 3:30pm because it was busy season and they hadn’t cleaned all the rooms yet. It was then up to me the customer to pull out my booking form which clearly states 2pm checkin with two tired kids in tow. I had emailed our children’s dietary requirements in advance as to make the process go smoothly. I can’t stress how under provided for they where - let’s just say gluten free bread was their main meal (and due to incomprehensible labelling system, we almost got sick!) usually hotels b&b’s etc. prepare a simple meal of say grilled chicken, rice and vegetables on an individual plate - the really good ones talk to me when we arrive and ask about the preferences etc. because of the risk of cross contamination on a buffet - these guys didn’t have a CLUE!!! Not to mention oh yes you guessed it some more gluten free bread for pudding 🤮 On our second day we went out all morning exploring hoping to come back to a freshly made up room by 2pm, but not, no sign of housekeeping at all, never mind the request we’d put in for replacement lightbulbs (3 lamps where missing bulbs 3!!!!!) we asked at 2pm if housekeeping could sort out our room - we where rudely told that new checkin rooms got priority and we had to wait and be patient. We finally got our room serviced at 6pm!!!! Oh and no new bulbs 💡 Day 3 up early again, appalling breakfast - very little assistance (thankfully there where fruit and vegetable options) asked for room to be cleaned at 9am, also asked for bulbs to be changed. Return back at 1pm -
Anna Grand Hotel

Breakfast is relatively rich. After all, it is a small hotel. It is hard to be like a domestic 4-5 star hotel. It is good for this country and city. There is a square at the main entrance, and you can walk to the river in a few minutes. This is an old hotel that was remodeled later. Every room you stayed in is actually different, big and small, and which one is assigned to pure metaphysics! The rest is the same anyway. Hungarian resort hotels are almost the same. The bed is a big bed made of two small beds...like all Hungarian hotels without toothbrushes. Because parking is free during the epidemic now
