"Everything about our stay was excellent — the comfort, the facilities, and the overall atmosphere were truly impressive. But the highlight of our experience was the outstanding food service, It was exceptional and incredibly professional, thanks to D. Emil, R. Majid, and A. Nijat. Their dedication, hospitality, and friendly service made a big difference and are the main reason we will definitely return to this hotel again. Highly recommended!"

Thank you all for your help and professional service during my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Baku. This was part of my honeymoon trip, and you made it even more special!
Really appreciate the kindness, great communication, and how smoothly everything was handled. The whole team – from staff to management – did a fantastic job making me feel welcome and comfortable.
I’ll definitely recommend this hotel to my family, close friends, and anyone reading this. I’m already looking forward to coming back and staying here again on my next visit to Azerbaijan.
Thanks again!

"Yango is convenient for hailing a taxi from the airport (all taxis here are BYD HH).
Overall, the value is quite good. The room was clean and the sleep was comfortable. Breakfast is provided, but it's not particularly good, but filling. Coffee other than black coffee or adding milk is charged extra.
The hotel is not in the old town, so if you're joining a day tour, you'll need to take a taxi there in the morning."

"Perhaps the only thing I can find fault with is the coffee) But this is a country with a tea tradition, so coffee had to be introduced for tourists. Everything else suited me, and even more, I will definitely come back. The staff are all sweethearts. The location is awesome."
"The hotel staff is warm and thoughtful, and the room is clean and tidy.
Although the decoration is a bit old, it does not affect the stay experience.
I arrived at the hotel early and paid a small fee to arrange early check-in. For passengers who have just flown for nearly 9 hours and arrived early in the morning, it is simply great.
The receptionist at the door will take the initiative to help you with your luggage, which is a plus"
"Everything is very simple, Azerbaijan is famous for a magnificent kitchen, but the hotel decided to serve just a terrible and unflavorable food...
This decision is not clear to me."

Great
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located in the old town. Many sights are within walking distance. The hotel looked newly renovated. It has three floors, with the guest rooms on the first and second floors. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were very satisfied. Our room only had a skylight, as it was on the second floor under the roof. Although it was mentioned in the room description, I didn't notice it. But it wasn't a problem, as the room had air conditioning that you could adjust yourself. We would stay at this hotel again, but would request a room on the first floor.

__Maria_Nice hotel, stayed for one night, located near the fountain square and the Old Town. There is a shop in the same house.
The room was not very big, ok for one night. The bathroom is spacious, but somehow outdated, in fact, like the style of the room, I would like something more fashionable or something. Breakfast is good, there is plenty to choose from.
It's a little strange that not all the staff at the hotel speak Russian, although the whole city speaks it.

Jjigardedhia26Good location is a plus point, it’s a decent hotel for the price being paid.
Downside is that it has no lift and the reception is on 2nd floor.
Average breakfast but is manageable for Vegetarians
Standard room has no balcony or city view.
It’s an internal window with no view whatsoever.

MMark@HKVIt's hard to say in a word, except that it's closer to the business office, there's really nothing else to say.
The location is quite good, there is a mall nearby, close to the Caspian Sea beach, and there are two good Chinese restaurants not far away.
But for some reason, the hotel's front desk is on the second floor. The entrance to the first floor is narrow and blocked by a broken board on one side. It feels very bad.
I arrived early on the day of check-in, so I had to wait until noon to check in, but when I opened the door with a card and went in, there was a big brother sleeping soundly on the bed😪, so I had to go back and wait for another hour for cleaning and cleaning, which was embarrassing😳
The breakfast items at the end of the second floor are relatively small, so let's just have some. When I checked out, there was no one at the front desk in the morning, and no one came when I rang the bell. After waiting for a long time, I had to put down my card and leave.
Summer is the peak tourist season. If other hotels were not fully booked and the price was not considered, there is a high probability that I would not stay in this hotel again.

GGuest UserOverall was fine, the hotel needs some renovation, and the rooms seem old. The breakfast was not good, I had to take the breakfast outside every day. I would like to thank Nijat from reception and also bellboy Ramazan is very helpful and a good man. Also, Ali from the lobby Bar. I want Aldo to thank Rami from the transportation, he did a great service to me when we went to Shahdag with his Driver Farid. Thanks to everyone again and hope to take my feedback as a positive to enhance the hotel.
RRebecca CoatesThe service was not the best when we arrived. The receptionists took their time to assist us and when we finally were given keys, they just pointed to the lift and left us.
The hotel room was quite outdated with a broken leaky fridge and a bulky TV. However, the balcony was quite nice and the view was amazing.
The food was really good and it was plentiful.
GGuest UserReview of Oldcity Inn Hotel, Baku, Azerbaijan
I recently stayed at the Oldcity Inn Hotel in Baku, located in the heart of the historical Old City. While the location is undeniably charming, right in the center of Baku’s historical landmarks, my experience left much to be desired.
Pros:
Location: The hotel is situated in the very center of Baku's historical Old City, which offers a unique atmosphere with its ancient architecture and cultural significance.
Reception Staff: The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I liked the girl at the hotel reception, who was very kind with the cat. The hotel had a very cute cat, who came into the hotel in the evening and left in the morning. However, despite their kindness, they were unable to provide much help with guest problems such as transportation and logistics.
Cons:
Cleanliness: The hotel did not provide daily cleaning services, which was disappointing and below the standards I expect from any accommodation.
Accessibility Issues:
Check-in/Check-out Stress: My biggest issue was with the overall experience of entering and leaving the Old City area. Police and security guards surround the area with barriers, preventing taxis or any other transportation from entering without paying bribes. Tourists are forced to carry their heavy luggage for 2-3 kilometers, which is incredibly difficult, especially after long flights.
After an hour of negotiation and paying a 12 AZN bribe (with no receipt or clear explanation), I was finally allowed to enter the area. Similarly, during checkout, the police fined a taxi driver 100 AZN just for waiting outside the Old City to pick me up. This created an extremely stressful situation that overshadowed the beauty of the location.
Corruption and Mismanagement:
The corruption among local police and security guards was shocking and disappointing. Tourists are regularly stopped and extorted for bribes, making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming.
There were no clear guidelines on how tourists are supposed to manage transportation in and out of the Old City, and no support from the hotel or authorities on this matter.
Conclusion:
While the Old City is undeniably a historical gem, I cannot recommend staying at the Oldcity Inn Hotel or any other accommodation within this area due to the severe accessibility challenges, the corrupt practices of local authorities, and the overall stress it creates for tourists. If you plan to visit Baku, I suggest staying outside the Old City and visiting the area during the day to enjoy its history without dealing with these logistical nightmares.

AArtyom PetukhovWhen I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.
GGuest UserThe hotel was renovated from an old hotel and was a bit run-down. The front desk's English skills are poor. The hotel is all carpeted and difficult to clean.
Feng shui is not good, the mirror is designed to face the bed. The room is relatively spacious, but the living experience is still average.
