Hotel Amarabati

I just stayed one night at Hotel Amarabati. In course of time I have stayed in several hotels at Bakkhali. However this time I did choose this hotel due to presence of swimming pool in the property despite of the location of this hotel, which is almost one km away from the beach. However the decision further burdened with great repentance. First , I would like to describe some good things. This property has a descent parking and got a lift (which we didnot use as we stayed in the ground floor), working remote for AC and TV, good water pressure at ground floor rooms. And thats all. The list of cons are bit long. 1) First and foremost, the staffs including the manager is extremely arrogant, impolite and unhappy soul. PERIOD. PERIOD. You will never feel welcome and never expect any homely feel from any staffs. 2) SWIMMING POOL (If you call a 6 meter × 9 meter tub a pool) Non Filtered with super strong smell of Chlorine bleach. The swimming pool has some weird timing. 12 pm to 2.30 pm and then 5 pm to 9 pm. And the management is strict to keep the timing in force with extreme caution. Even if your child will request to swim for 10 more minutes, the caretaker will not listen and simply close the pool. Though this property has a pool, the timing is chosen in such a way that the guest will not be able to use the facility mostly. The caretaker is gifted with god's sense of touch and feel. He will touch your shorts and t-shirt and tell you how much polyester (they call silk) is there and if its less than 100% then you have to buy underpant/ t-shirt worth (starting from) 150 and more. These are available in market for less than one third of the price. OF COURSE THERE IS NO SERVING OF COLD BEVERAGES NEAR THE POOL. Surprisingly they dont ask anyone to take a bath before entering the pool. So I feel , keeping the pool clean, is not the intention for these stringent rules. So I feel, if you want to choose this property for the SWIMMING 🏊‍♀️ POOL then think thrice and then take your decision. I wouldn't like to see you regret like me. 3) You are not allowed to bring any outside food in the hotel. Thats fine. Many property doesn't. But the difference is they have a decent dining facility. Here its absolutely different. Not only the food is overpriced, I have not tested food that is so bad in taste and quality for many many year's. Buying any food is completely waste of money. 4) Rooms are not as you find online. At-All. I stayed in a 3 bedded room, which is merely 200 Sqft including the bathroom (online its listed as 267 sq ft). No room to move inside the room. Furnitures are old and crooked. Walls are shabby. Lots of strains. Washroom is ordinary and unclean. No complimentary breakfast Verdicts I paid 3324 for one night stay. I feel this is way more compared to the amenities you get. This room can have a maximum price range of 1500 and even then also quistionable for the staff behavior. If I am looking for a comfortable and hom

nice room, nice swimming pool, foods were good, just have to order food 2 hours prior, good for family staying..

Room was so horrible .cost was too high comparatively room is soo dirty’ toilet also, food quality averages not good. Swimming also dirty water.

The bed sheets and blankets are very smelly.Lift is occassionally disrupted.Room service is very good.

Food: The in-house restaurant served delicious meals with a good variety of options. The seafood dishes, in particular, were fresh and flavorful. Overall: If you're planning a trip to Bakkhali, I highly recommend Hotel Amarabati. It offers great value for money and provides a comfortable and relaxing stay with easy access to the beach. Hotel amarabati is overall good and about 900 m from bakkhali sea beach. Things i liked are: very good staff behaviour service peaceful hotel ambience restaurant food quality and taste is so good things to improve seriously: tv of room 302 is malfunctioning bathroom fittings are coming out loose room size for 4 bedded room is very small, no place to move and walk
