Thimble Cottage is a beautifully well equipped cottage for two and has a wood-burner & squashy leather corner sofa in the sitting room for lovely cozy evenings in and comfortable king size bed. We have included many luxury touches including fluffy monogrammed robes & towels, Egyptian Cotton bedlinen, Denby crockey and underfloor heating in the bathroom and sitting room. We welcome well behaved pets; the rear courtyard garden is ideal for pets as it's totally enclosed and there are many fabulous walks from the doorstep. A new kitchen and bathroom were sympathetically installed in 2018 to include shower over the bath and granite topped kitchen. The cottage is conveniently located in the heart of one of the prettiest villages of the Peak District and within walking distance of the 3 village pubs, general stores and the cake shop Peak Feast is just around the corner which sells delicious take away coffees, teas and hot chocolate. This delightful Grade II listed cottage (part of an old Stocking Mill) nestling in the picturesque Peak District benefits from being only a few steps away from the village tearoom & 2 cracking pubs! Cycle on the Monsal Trail or walk in the stunning grounds at Chatsworth House, both are easily accessible and glorious views await. A visit to the nearby market town of Bakewell to sample the infamous Bakewell Pudding, is also a must! Our aim has been to make The Bobbin, an extremely comfortable 'home from home' !The cottage is split over three floors and comprises:Kitchen, Sitting Room with eating area, Double Bedroom, Twin Room and Family Bathroom on the top floor.There is a shared Courtyard to the rear, accessible from the kitchen with table and chairs and an outhouse for laundry and a freezer and the for bicycles.Regarding children playing outside, please be advised there is no gate to close off the Courtyard.Also, the staircase is steep and may not be suitable for very young children, ie toddlers and the elderly.Guest access:Guests can park in front of/near to the property and have access via the right hand side of the building and via the kitchen to the Courtyard at the rear of the cottage.The neighbourhood:The Bobbin is perfectly situated in the heart of the village & ideal for those with & without transport. Ashford in the Water is steeped in history & with the Monsal Trail on the doorstep, there is plenty to see & do. You can enjoy a day out visiting Derbyshire's jewel, Chatsworth or pop into Bakewell & then on to Haddon Hall.
