Property Description
If you are planning a party, a flim shoot or an event, all of the details need to be worked out in advance and extra fees apply. You may be required to get event insurance as well. Check out is at 11 a.m. and the housekeeper lets herself into the house at 11:15 a.m., therefore, it is imperative that you have left the premises no later than 11 .a.m. so please plan accordingly.
This house has a 2 car garage with garage door opener for your use as well as tons of street parking. There is also a parking pad behind the garage large enough for one or two vehicles depending upon their size. I have a cradle as well as a portable crib on the premises, one of each. There are 4 bedrooms. Three of them have Queen Sized Beds. The 4th Bedroom with the red brick fireplace has a California King Bed. If you would like to use the couch in the sunroom for one person to sleep on or the sectional couch in the family room for one person to sleep on, or possibly 2 depending upon the size, then the house could potentially sleep 10 to 11 folks. There would be a charge for any guests beyond 8, so please reach out on that if you would like to have a few more guests. If you would like to plan a party or a special gathering, please reach out before booking as certain types of gatherings require special event insurance We would need to agree to the terms of the party or gathering in advance. There is a 65 inch Roku T.V. in the large family room with the leather sectional couch and I have some Spectrum Channels as well as all sorts of Roku Channels loaded onto the T.V. This room has its own airconditioning/heating unit which is controlled by the white clicker in the dish on the coffee table. The rest of the home is heated and cooled by a 2nd system whose thermostat is located on the wall in the dining room. Every room in the house, other than the kitchen and the bathrooms, has a ceiling fan, including 2 outdoor ceiling fans by the covered patio. My home is unique in every way as can be ascertained by viewing the photos.
If you intend to host an event of more than 8 total individuals, I am open to that and we would need to discuss the specifics beforehand. There would be an additional charge depending upon how many persons would be in attendance and other details/charges.
I always leave some complimentary snacks and bottles of water for my guests. For cooking, I have the following items for your use: Seasonings and spices; sugar; baking powder and baking soda; individual creamer packets; coffee and various teas; hot chocolate packets; artificial sweetener packets; ketchup, mustard, relish, hot sauce, salsa, salt and pepper and probably a few other things. It is important to wipe the kitchen counters after use as they are granite and food/liquids left on the granite will stain it, especially oils. There is tons of granite polish.
I will leave liquid body soap/shower gel, lotion, bar soap, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposible razors, cotton balls, q-tips, toilet paper, tampons, sanitary napkins, shaving lotion, kleenex, paper towels, paper napkins (and we have cloth napkins in the house as well), Natural Laundry Detergent, Liquid Dish Soap, Dishwasher Pods, Cleaning Products including granite cleaner, stainless steel cleaner, trash bags, aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, various sizes of zipper Baggies, rubber gloves, notepads, paper, pens, pencils, erasers and other office items. The various cleaning products are located under the sink in the kitchen and under the sink in the sunroom. Please do not use chemicals on the hardwood floors if you are wiping up something. Just some water will work and then dry the area thoroughly please.
Please keep fresh foil on the tray for the toaster oven so it is easier to clean after use. There is a hairdryer in the downstairs bathroom as well as a flat iron for your use. I will leave extra linens in the bedroom closets for you. There are tons of dish towels in the kitchen. The kitchen cupboards are full of small appliances of every sort from a coffee grinder to a huge industrial smoothie type blender and a rice maker and so on. We have fabric napkins for your use if you feel like being fancy. There are coasters all over the home and please use them and do not place glasses directly on the tables or furniture. Please use them for your beverages so as to not ruin the surfaces of the tables. I have lots of new puzzles, crossword puzzles and some games and books as well. I have books, stuffed animals, games and art suppplies for children. The rafts and swim rings are in the drawer outside to the left of the BBQ. There is an electric raft pump in there as well. Generally the pool man comes on Tuesdays and the Gardener comes on Wednesdays and they let themselves in through the side gate. The drip system and the sprinker system are on a timer and they turn themselves on and off automatically. I do have a cradle with a mattress and a portable crib/mattress and sheets for them. Please do not run around the pool area and do not let your children do so either as it is an obvious slip hazard. Please abide by the safety signs around the pool and explain the pool rules to your children if they are not old enough to read. There is a separate unit in the large family room with the leather couch for heating and airconditioning and a remote control for same. The thermostat for the rest of the home is located in the dining room area off of the kitchen on the wall. There are alarms on all of the doors and windows of the home other than the front door. They will be on when you arrive. They have 3 settings: Off, Alarm or Chime. They are white little boxes and easy to spot on each door or window. It is strongly recommended that with regard to any doors which have access to the pool / backyard area that you set them onto the chime or alarm mode if you have children in the home so that you will be notified of all Ingress and Egreess to the pool backyard area. This includes the alarm on the door to the 4th Bedroom with the Red Brick Fireplace as it accesses the side yard which leads to the pool area. I will give you the lockbox code before your arrival. I will leave the garage clicker for you on the kitchen counter on the left as you enter the kitchen. The clicker is extremely sensitive and will open the garage door without your knowlege if you move it even a little bit. I would recommend that you put it onto the viser or your car to avoid accidentally opening the garage door. When you check out, please put the original key back into the lock box and please turn the numbers on the combination. Please also return the clicker to the kitchen counter where you found it. Please run the dishwasher on Express Cycle before you check out and leave the dishes for the housekeeper to unload. Please take all of your soiled towels and linens and place them on the washer/dryer in the 4th Bedroom or on the tile floor in the 4th Bedroom and please do not leave them on the hardwood floors. I am available for any questions you may have. It is best to call and to text me if you are in a hurry. I may not see your message on this site right away. Or you can do all 3. I think you will enjoy my lovely property. It is unique in every way. Both dining room tables are set up with tablescapes for your use. Feel free to move them out of the way if you wish. Should you need anything or if you have any questions, please reach out. Enjoy your stay. Great Stay in Bakersfield
I spent the weekend in Bakersfield with family and had a great time at the Hacienda! The kitchen is well equipped with cooking items and there were enough spaces in the house that I could escape the noise of loud talkers. ;)Lori was incredibly responsive and kindly left snacks for arrival. There was a lot of street parking and a grocery store less than 10 min away.

Really nice house in East Bakersfield
We had a great stay. The house is really nice with some fun spaces. It's in terrific shape and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. Most of the bedrooms are on the ground floor with a master suite upstairs. Plenty of puzzles to work on. Lots of natural light.
