We traveled in January as a family of 5 (kids were ages 15, 13, 11).
Cesar with the entertainment staff is amazing. He is always looking for ways to make the guest’s experience better. He goes above and beyond to check in and offer help if needed.
All of the other entertainment staff at Krystal are great as well. Rafael was one of our favourites and was excellent with our kids. There are activities at the pool daily for all ages if you are interested. The nightly entertainment was a major bonus, as I heard that it is a newer addition to the resort. It was a perfect way to end our evenings.
The buffet, while smaller than other resorts, always had something to eat to suit everyone’s tastes. The A La Carte restaurants were excellent! The Asian being our favourite. For lunch you need to try the fish tacos, yum! We definitely did not go hungry!
Our rooms were what you would expect. They were nice and clean. The mini fridge had water, beer & pop refilled when needed.
We found the staff across the whole resort were friendly and pleasant to deal with. Probably one of the best staff experiences we’ve had across our many travels.
Overall we have a great time and loved our stay at Krystal Grand.

Very nice for people with kids. Had lots of choices with food, great taste. Outside the property was nice and clean but room leave little to desire, definitely need an upgrade in amenities.

They were pretty awesome
The room was clean and airy with a nice balcony
Only thing is I wished was there was some live music to enjoy at either of the bars
An opportunity missed

Rooms are dated. Altitude check in lounge could be in a better location. The skybar really needs more tables and a better ambiance. Lobby bar needs more tables and a better ambiance as well.

First time staying in this area of Puerto Vallarta. Beach was nice, adult pool was excellent. Drinks were ok. A la carte dining was ok. Buffet was decent. Fridge in room was stocked every day. Room was cleaned everyday sufficiently. Had to get up at the crack of dawn to secure chairs around the adult pool. We ended up getting chairs on the beach (still had to go early). Lots of umbrellas for shade was nice at beach and around the pool. We had Altitude and would highly recommend you have this as we were able to reserve our a la carte restaurants all at once. If not, you stand in line every morning to get reservations. Wifi was not great (this was the biggest complaint we heard around the pool). Location to Bucerias was great as you could walk into town through a pathway.

Shower was not draining, and water pressure was low. We left 2 shirts on the lounge for few minutes and when we can to retrieve they were gone. Lost and found had just one shirt. All inclusive but tipping is expected.

Overall very good! Enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location only 5-10 min taxi ride to shopping. Can walk the trail to Bucerías in 20-25 mins. Makes me sad to see the number of young children selling goods on the beach alone but I know that’s not in the hotels control. Hotel was nice enough to let us give them some water.
