The premises are clean and attractive, but our room was primitive, outdated, and seriously overpriced. We had two small rooms, two beds, no chairs, no tv, no reading lights. There was no water in the bathroom sink ie the plumbing needs updating. The managers were friendly, but not really around much. The breakfast was good. Not at all worth $150 US a night…maybe $80-90.

We enjoyed our two night stay at Hotel El Mono Feliz. The property is absolutely beautiful with trees, flowers, hummingbirds, other birds, a lovely pool & a sweet yoga shala by the river. Accommodations include rooms & cabins. We were in a small room with a comfortable bed, nice sheets, good towels, including pool or beach towels. Breakfast is included & is delicious! Lisa, the hostess during our stay, was super friendly, helpful & had great suggestions as to where to go/where to eat.

We had a great stay at Claire’s Place. She is a great and caring host and told us all about what to do in the area. The lodge is beautifully located in the green and next to a little creek. After our whole Costa Rica trip, i can say that Claire made the best breakfast out of all the lodges we went to. Thank you! I can definitely recommend this place.

Incredibly beautiful property with a variety of room types. Lovely pool and delicious breakfast included. Claire is a wonderful, personable lady who will arrange tours and restaurants. The grounds are amazing, beautiful flowers everywhere and so many gorgeous birds. One morning we were awakened by white faced monkeys in the trees around the bungalows. On that same day the local crocodile came to visit! We went on several tours and had a great time. Highly recommended.

Une belle étape dans un cadre magnifique. Le Logement est très confortable avec tout ce qu’il faut. L’accueil est au top. Au petit soin des voyageurs. Proximité des plages sans être près des routes. Je recommande sans réserve. Belle vie à Amara.

Il y a tout,MAIS s il s agissait d un plat je dirai qu il est sans couleur, sans saveur et sans odeur, rien n est fait ici pour le plaisir, ( lit et oreiller dur, chaise et banc en bois brut, petit déjeuner idem) Si vous rêvez d un endroit charmant et douillet vous ne le trouverez pas ici
