My stay at Kuriftu resort was full of simple pleasures. The fresh mango juice was a standout—sweet, natural, and refreshing. I spent my evenings by the chimini on the veranda, enjoying the quiet with a warm drink and the view of the lake. It was the perfect way to wind down. The massage at the spa was incredibly relaxing—professional, peaceful, and just what I needed. The food was delicious, especially the fish dishes and fresh salads. The staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and always ready with a smile. They made everything feel easy and warm. Kuriftu is more than just a place to sleep it’s where every little detail adds to your peace of mind.

I stayed for two nights at Kuriftu Resort in Bahirdar and it was a truly memorable experience. I was in Room 111 which offered a breathtaking view of both the lake and the swimming pool absolutely stunning! The food and service were exceptional exceeding my expectations at every turn. We also enjoyed a boat trip on the lake which was an unforgettable highlight of our stay. The spa experience was outstanding. I had a one hour deep tissue massage and it went far beyond what I anticipated truly relaxing and revitalizing. Overall, I absolutely loved my time at Kuriftu Resort. Everything from the scenery to the hospitality made it a perfect getaway. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bahirdar.

17 days and 4 different hotels in Ethiopia. This was THE best! You will feel like royalty. Layout makes everything close. Rooms are beautiful. Wi-fi in restaurant and lobby great but it can be iffy in room. Next to Lake Tana so make sure you have insect repellant. Lovely breakfast and meals. Do take advantage of the wonderful full massage included with room. We each left 600 birr tip -- $4. One of the best we have ever had. Entire staff responsive to anything you need...or want.

Must stay, great view, boat outing is a must & make sure to get the massage. The pool is a great way to spend a day overlooking lake tana. Its located ideally, to walk around the city, near to other major hotels.

Excellent resort! Full-service spa, HUGE rooms with quality everywhere. The staff literally runs after you to help you in any way. Incredibly inexpensive laundry with return in one day. Restaurant is very good. WiFi is good.

We only stayed one night, but start to finish it was an amazing experience. Bahir Dir is such a beautiful city with super kind people and Kuriftu Resort was the icing on the cake. I wish we had stayed with them longer honestly. I’m going to be making a YouTube video on my YouTube channel Unbecoming Timmy to show some of the best moments. So if you are interested, it will be pretty detailed to give a good idea of what to expect. Thank you Kuriftu for the amazing experience!

We spent a wonderful three days Kuriftu in Bahar Dar. The service and setting were impeccable. The rooms are spacious and cleaned the pool and the lake were always lovely to look at and enjoy for a swim. We will definitely be back.
