Best Beach Hotels in Tawau Division

Environment: Mabu Island is a large island. Many certified divers live on the island. There are more than a dozen hotels on the island. It is a 40-minute boat ride from the town. There are some primitive Bayao villagers on the left and right sides of the hotel. Hotel: There are townhouses and two towers, and the accommodation facilities are pretty good. Catering: The hotel provides three buffet meals a day, which is enough to fill you up. There are Bajau people selling seafood on the beach, and the hotel can process it. Summary: I went there before the Chinese New Year. The hotel price was around RMB 3,000 per night, which was considered average value for money at the time. There was a pick-up and drop-off service, but the disadvantage was that there was construction nearby that affected the experience.

Booked here for the last night. The scenery is very nice. It has a different smell on cloudy and sunny days. There is a swimming pool by the sea. You can snorkel and provide masks and snorkels for free. There are many fish. It is the only one on the island. It is very quiet. The room is spacious, but the smell is a bit strong. The water is yellow. Overall, it is good. The service of the staff is satisfactory. There is not much communication. It feels like you live on this island by yourself. You can eat by yourself when it’s time to eat. Maybe this is a vacation? The only very bad thing is that I contacted the hotel by phone and emailed many times before checking in, but I didn’t receive any response. Because I have to take a boat to the island, there is a pier address, but even though I asked the locals, I couldn’t find this address. I tried to contact the resort but didn’t get any response, which led to a long search for the pier on the day of check-in. No one will take the initiative to contact you on the day of check-in.

My stay at Jelly Sea Resorts was incredible. We were amazed at the view from the resort, the clear water, and the Bohey Dulang view from afar. We were told that we were the first Malay to stay at the resort (mostly Chinese tourists), it was such an achievement and honored 🥇😂. The room was big enough and what we liked about the room was that it had a patio where we could relax, provided with a netting bed and a ladder to go down swimming or snorkeling right from our own room. I would recommend Jelly Sea Resorts to anyone who wants to experience Semporna. It also provides 3 meals a day (breakfast-lunch-dinner) included in your booking and a boat transfer from the land to the resort and vice versa. The only thing we would comment on for improvement is to provide toilet bidet sprayer.

The hotel service is very good. Mandy speaks very good Chinese. She will introduce the hotel facilities and hotel activities in detail when you check in. The lobby is spacious. I came in the off-season so there are few people. The meals are very abundant. Several locals will help prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner when you appear in the living room, and they are different all day long. The whole hotel is on a small island. It takes only about ten minutes to go around and walk around the tailing beach. You can watch the sunset and the moon at the hotel. You can stroll around the tailing beach and pick up shells at low tide. The water visibility near the hotel is OK. You can see starfish and small fish on the hotel balcony and the pier corridor. Snorkeling is better at noon. The hotel has a snorkeling instructor. Just call him. The hotel can also buy disposable mouthpieces. The visibility will be worse when the water rises in the afternoon, but small fish and starfish can also be seen. The equipment in the hotel room is still relatively old, which is incomparable to domestic hotels.

Water Chalet is non-air conditioner room. I dont know that my Chalet is non-Aircon Room so i have to stay in the hot room. many customers complaint very hot especially day time. For meal is buffet style and with variety food. drinking water and codial drink is free. Especially morning is very noisy because of the electric car pass by the chalet. For the view , i agreed with what i see in the youtube. During sunset . it is beautiful and romance enviroment. dues of lack of water. we cant use bath tub and the water shower is very small and i feel like i am staying in no- star hotel. But the hotel officer did tell us because of lack of water. but the transport to the Kapalai is quite frequent and free. this is bonus points. Generally, for couple those are going to honeymood and taking photos are the best to go.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is very strategic and nice view from our room. Breakfast is nice and everything was good.

The water houses at Bang Bang Island Resort, also known as Longzhu Hotel, are super cost-effective, more than half the price, and super cost-effective. The water house rooms are very large, far from the coast, and there is no garbage. The service is also good, but the surrounding area is surrounded by barbed wire, and you can't walk around the island to other hotels. Facilities: Generally speaking, they are relatively old, but they are good enough, with sufficient water pressure and continuous power supply. Hygiene: The bedding in the water house is changed every two days, which feels pretty good. Environment: The hotel environment is nothing to say, the pure water house will be boring, and there is a beach here, which is very suitable for bringing children to play. The public facilities are all good, and the snorkeling area is next to the water house. Service: The service is quite enthusiastic, the restaurant price is reasonable, and the suitcases are sent to the room from the plane out of the airport. Round-trip airport transfer (reservation required in advance): Make an appointment through Ctrip, and someone will hold a sign when you leave the airport. The whole journey is combined by car and ship, which is super convenient. Return boat transfer service (reservation required in advance): Just wait in the room for the return trip, which is super convenient.

On honeymoon trip, my wife loves this place! Except that Ctrip personnel did not arrange honeymoon arrangements, everything else was perfect. The food is average, but acceptable. I just feel I haven't had enough. Haha

A wonderful discovery near Semporna. The resort is located next to a fishing village. The advantage is that it's not in the city, and boat rides are flexible (it takes 15 to 20 minutes) from the jetty. Nice outdoor spaces with a platform overlooking the sea for relaxing. There's no beach, so we didn't swim. The welcome is very warm, Malaysian-style. For me, it's an ideal place for 1 or 2 nights in Semporna.
