I recently visited Baguio for the second time to unwind and relax. After considering a few hotels, we chose to stay at Giraffe Boutique Hotel. We arrived early and were informed of the hotel's policy of charging 500 pesos per hour for early check-in. We decided to explore the area while waiting, returning less than an hour before check-in time. And asked the staff if they can accommodate us, however, we were only allowed to enter less than a minute before the designated time. Despite this, we understood and rested. Fast forward at home, upon checking the brochure, I noticed that we were charged for a deluxe room but were provided with a superior room. I was disappointed that the hotel staff deceived me by the room rate. I reached out to them to request a refund of the excess amount we paid, but unfortunately, I have not received any response from them. When it comes to hotels, I don't expect perfection in terms of staff or location. However, when it comes to the money I paid, it's personal. I specifically paid for a deluxe room but was given a superior room instead. To make matters worse, the room didn't even have an AC unit, which wasn't mentioned in the booking information. I believe it's important to know what you're getting and ensure that you're getting what you paid for. So, if you're planning to book a hotel, always double-check the details to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
