This is a truely special resort. We stayed at Living Heritage Koslanda for 3 nights, in a Forest Pavillion. The room was fantastic and we spent much time just sitting on the veranda watching and listening to the sounds of the forest all around us. The facilities, from the pool area, accommodation, restaurant, and the extensive grounds are first rate. The hike to the on site waterfall is a must. The staff are excellent, particularly Mr Johnson, the manager and Madhu who took us on a birdwatching tour at dawn. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Sitting at night having dinner in an open pavillion with fruit bats flitting about is something special. For something different on holiday, we can absolutely recommend a stay at the Living Heritage Koslanda.

We have stayed in some great places in Sri Lanka, but this brilliant hotel with its great location and incredible staff tops the list with room to spare. Johnson, the manager, who was fantastic, should get a special mention as he was so helpful (even lending us his waterproof so that our daughter could walk to the plunge pool above Diyaluma Falls; a great trip) without getting wet in the rain. The Head Chef, Vinot, was also great and our Sri Lanka cookery lesson with him will long live in our collective memories. Even so, I have to repeat just how welcoming, helpful and attentive all the staff were. We had a magical time staying here.

We loved our stay at Koslanda and wish we could have stayed another night! Everything was immaculate & the attention to detail was fantastic. The food was the delicious & healthy & we loved our bird watching & waterfall walk with Madhu. They even supplied anti leech socks! Would thoroughly recommend!

The hotel is set in a stunning location, high in the hills, with a beautiful infinity pool and a private waterfall. Staying at one of the forest pavilions has been a very nice experience, close to the nature, but very luxurious. The warmth of the people working at Kostanda adds to the atmosphere, with amazing meals served every day by the restaurant staff and great cocktail creations by Kumar. Guide, Madhu, was very informative and kind, showing me around the property, including a walk to the waterfall.

"Living Heritage Koslanda" is a beautifully clean and well-maintained property in a breathtaking location. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a truly enjoyable stay. The food was outstanding, and their willingness to customize dishes to suit our preferences made the experience even more special. Highly recommended!

Set in the most stunning location high in the hills, the Living Heritage is a haven. The grounds are lovely and beautifully maintained, the pavilions quite an experience (!) and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The food was exceptional too- would highly recommend

Large and beautiful villa, and a very good boutique hotel. Living Heritage Koslanda was wonderful, great waterfall on site, cocktails before dinner and food was very good. Staff and service were terrific, you are given a mobile phone with a direct line to the manager on arrival. Pool with a view!

Lovely stay at Living Heritage. Warm welcome on arrival and guided to tree house room which was amazing. There is a beautiful pool with seating area where you can truely relax. The evening communal cocktails are a lovely way to meet other guests who you may not see, given the privacy and layout. The restaurant food choices and quality were top standard. We met the owner, Lucy, who explained the history of the site which was a former plantation and the sustainability ethos in terms of footprint and support to local community. We want to return again soon.🙏
