Wow , every thing is 5 star and attention to detail is amazing, I can't mention just one member of staff as they are all fantastic and nothing was to much, the restaurant manager and his staff are a credit to this hotel, the food is amazing to, and they Throw in amazing view to boot You Must stay here.... Beautiful hotel set in the mountains with breathtaking views. Staff were great and hotel and rooms were really nice. Food buffet was great breakfast and dinner. The hotel is set in acres of forest land. We did a nature trail to the waterfall in the grounds with some birdwatching on the way. We saw a rare wood pigeon.

We had a wonderful 3 days at The Melheim. The grounds are beautiful, the room clean and the food delicious, the wildlife fascinating but what made it for us were the lovely, personable staff. Andrew and Sanjeeva (excuse my spelling) were a joy-the kids loved Sanjeeva’s magic and stories, he was so happy all the time, and Andrew the boss genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time with them. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and we felt so well looked after. We will be back!!!

It's amazing, on arrival greeted with umbrellas, drinks and a very warm welcome. The staff can not do enough for you it's by far the best hotel of our trip so far. We felt pampered by the staff. The manager is so attentive. Location stunning, rooms fantastic and views to die for. My only issue was the walk to the waterfall. I wouldn’t reccomend as there are leeches and this was not pleasant but isn't the hotel's fault. Wish we could of stayed longer. It's magical.

A relaxing spot with amazing views A warm welcome with cold towels and refreshing fruit juice. Simple, clean rooms in lodges in the forest. The bird life is out of this world amazing. The team running this small, boutique hotel were really hospitable.

Such a magical place. Shame we only got to stay one night and at a time when there had been heavy rain in the area. Warning not to explore the walking trail when wet as there are very active leeches! Remembering this is a jungle area (hence hotel has no control over these things) the natural area meant amazing birds and wildlife. Rooms have a wonderful view. Food and all service was very good. Very kind nice people. Thank you for a fab stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was amazing – delicious options for every meal. There’s also a lovely park for kids, and my children had a fantastic time playing there. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend for families!

Stayed here for one night as part of a Sri Lanka tour. Lovely hotel in very natural surroundings, lots of wildlife including birds, squirrels and monkeys. Lovely food in the open sided restaurant overlooking the grounds. Provided us with a very plentiful breakfast to take with us on our early start to travel in a tuk tuk up to Lipton's Seat.

Beautiful setting and lovely room only stayed one night but the food was sensational ! Richard and his team were amazing !would highly recommend this gorgeous small hotel ! Enjoyed the walk up to view point and waterfall before we had a delicious breakfast
