We’ve come to this campsite 3 times and I’m always impressed at how well organized they are. The campground is massive but they manage with professional courtesy. It gets dirty with hundreds of people using the facilities, but they keep up. We’ve always been here with a tent, but there are glamping options. We’ve also seen two concerts here by the local group Gota, and I think the campground pays them. It’s a plus because the group singing in Ladin below the peaks is just amazing.

I booked a week at Sass Dlacia campsite as I wanted to spend a week in the Dolomites with my two boys (14 & 7yrs old). It’s a fabulous area for walks, biking, via ferrata, picnics etc etc. Having done my research months ago (as I knew it would be a busy time), Sass Dlacia looked to be slightly less commercial and ‘car-park-like’ than some of the other campsites around. It’s also at 1700m, so that would make it nice and cool at night, with better access to higher-level walks nearby. It IS in an idyllic location (just off quiet back road up to Passo Falzarego), surrounded by forest with lovely walks and a short drive to cable cars (for MTB routes), the facilities are good and mostly clean and there is an excellent restaurant. The problem is that they have very much over-stretched themselves and crammed far too many pitches in for the facilities on offer. Ok… so it was probably the busiest week of the year (2nd week in August) and I was lucky to get a pitch in a quietish corner… but many did not and had absolutely no privacy. Campervans & tents were crammed-in and a lot of the time you had to queue for showers, washing-up and even the loos. Rubbish was taken away, but sometimes not until bins were over-flowing. The pitches are not generous by any standard. Many are not level and the ground is mostly rocky/gravel (not much they can do about that, I know) so take strong tent pegs & a hammer! It was, however, nicely quiet at night and everyone settles by 10ish (often for early mountain starts, which make sense). I’d definitely come back, though it’s bit cheap T over €500 for a week for a pitch with electric hook-up… but not in August and my suggestion to the owners would be to either add more facilities around the site or be less greedy & limit numbers to a sensible level.

And good rock climbing spot 15 minutes walk behind. Good views of the mountains behind, friendly staff on reception, clean, and with electric points. Washing machines and dryers reasonably priced, and a great little shop selling fresh bred in the mornings and camping essentials. Restaurant does good pizza and a big full menu. Ground is a bit hard, so bring strong pegs and a hammer. Best campsite in whole one month holiday through Europe. We stayed their twice it was so good, and would happily come back.

We stayed at this beautiful campsite for a week Wonderful experience The guys who work at the reception are always super kind and helpful, both for needs during the stay and for the routes to follow for trekking starting directly from the campsite. Super clean bathrooms and complete with everything! Highly recommended! Excellent pizza!

Seven times is not a small number, yet every return to this campsite is always an emotion. Whether in a tent or in the welcoming Utia, I have always found a corner of paradise in the mountains. The location is simply stunning, a perfect combination of uncontaminated nature and essential comfort. The restaurant offers tasty and genuine dishes, prepared with local products. I sincerely hope that the management keeps the soul of this campsite intact. I understand the temptation to please everyone, but I believe that its strength lies precisely in simplicity and direct contact with nature. For those looking for unbridled entertainment and all-inclusive services, I recommend other destinations. People come here to unplug, to listen to the silence of the mountains and to find themselves. Those who share this point of view cannot help but fall in love with this magical place.

The location of the campsite is unique, under the Dolomite walls and in the middle of the woods. Very convenient for excursions to and from the Alpine Hut, and in 5 minutes on foot you can reach the bus stop. The environment is very beautiful, not to mention the atmosphere of the bar that in the evening gathers people around the truly suggestive bonfires

the campsite is not as idyllic as they make it out to be on the site. Crowded campsite with lots of night noise. People driving by at 4am is one of them. It would be a lot better if cars were not allowed to drive around between 22:00 and 6:00. The location is ideal at the nature park! Sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean.

We booked an A- Frame cabin through booking which as a plus was supposed to have an exclusive view of the forest (as per promotional photos). Our cabin instead had a view of the parking lot with consequent coming and going of customers and cars. The staff came to meet us by offering us breakfast. I hope however that from now on the difference between the various cabins will be highlighted by also adjusting the cost. Also note that the cabins are truly wonderful and clash with the extremely basic toilets and also a breakfast service that is not up to par. Much more could be done given the great potential of the location and the architecture of the structures.
