Hijacking My Money
Booked through trip.com for a 4-day stay, but my Visa got denied. I'd love to stay at the hotel so I informed the hotel almost two months in advance to negotiate the change of check-in dates. The manager first agreed to change the date of my reservation. Still, when I asked the Trip.com agent to forward my message about alternative check-in dates, the manager rejected my request and kept saying there is nothing they can do, and ended up charging me the full 700 dollars...
I had no idea why the hotel was so capricious in this case, but one thing I can be sure, the hotel had no intention of helping its customer solve the problem, but only wanted to get the money
