The accommodation boasts a diverse and plentiful breakfast, friendly and competent staff, prime lakeside location, and a comprehensive wellness area. However, it lacks unique selling points.

Just 0 Points! 350€ for two nights (out of the season!) !!! in hotel which should be 4 Star Hotel! I think they forgot that we are not living in 70‘ but 2021! Balcony shared with two other rooms with Street View! Brown curtains, carpet you afraid to walk without socks, bed for two but two separate mattresses, pillows, hairdryer, toilet with calc… Room even not worthy to pay 50€ a night. Think twice before you chose this hotel !!

We booked an apartment 100m away from the main building. Really nice and spacious, though I was informed that NOONE would tidy up my room during the 5-day stay - that's what happens for those that rent appartments!!! Excellent breakfast and really friendly front-office staff, couldn't say the same though for the restaurant staff...

Traditional style apartment with views and very spacious. Well equipped kitchen and very good bathroom. Sitting and dining area well appointed. Beds are comfortable, large and heating in winter if anything too effective so we turned most of the radiators off. 50 metres or so to the main hotel which is where checkin takes place. Here there is a very good restaurant if you don't wish to cook, or walk about 1k to find other food outlets in the centre of Bad Wiessee. Proximity to lake is excellent.

Well they can’t do anything about the weather so this time we were in our Junior Suite more than usual. It is really comfortable and of course spacious. It has a great view of the lake and is the only hotel in Bad Wiessee with direct access to swimming. This is our go to quiet destination for relaxing. The restaurant ist very good and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend a stay here!!

Beautiful location. We arrived late in the evening and had a really good experience the night manager was extremely friendly and helpful other than that we didn't have any other good experiences.Overall the hotel was very disappointing.

I stayed here for a friends wedding. The hotel was very accommodating and has an extensive and beautifully designed spa area that we all took advantage of throughout the weekend. Lake views and access right there, and beautiful views from the rooms. The bar is a unique space as well, and offered a great place for an after party hang out everyone could enjoy. All the food I had, whether for breakfast or dinner was fantastic, and the serving sizes were hearty at that! Only wish I had more time to stay. (The bees are terrible, but I found that to be the case everywhere in this region of Germany at this time of year, so not the fault of the hotel.)

The hotel may have been a four star at one time but time is not treating it well. There’s a major need for a good number of updates starting with the arrival experience. A four start hotel would have a refreshed entry. This hotel had a worn exterior from every aspect down to the finishes of the exterior canopy. A four start hotel would present itself as modern and up to date. This hotel makes you feel as if you have re-entered the 1980’s. There are many pluses. The spa area is wonderful. The location immediately next to the lake, a huge food and beer garden on the lake side, great proximity to everything we wanted to do away from the hotel, an excellent breakfast buffet every morning, and a good clean comfortable room. When traveling here, just be careful about exactly which room you will be assigned and lower your expectations a little. Our room overlooked the construction area. We came to the area for the views, including the one from our balcony, even if we had to pay a higher price.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel over the Easter weekend. The first impression was the thought, OK, it has flair and is impressive. Then, as the stay unfolds, you look at details and notice that a four-star cares typically about minor things, and then a gap appears in your mind. What works very well? The staff is friendly and helpful and when you have a question people can be found. The breakfast was delicious and included fresh baked goods, made-to-order egg dishes, various coffee styles, and fresh fruit. The room was large enough, and the bed was good, but the pillows, for our taste, did not work. The bathroom with a walking shower was large and clean, but the “rain shower” function from the ceiling did not work because it was clogged. The only real option is a hand-held shower device, and the position for hands-free showering is not height-adjustable. We made it work, but it was a detail no one considered. Turning on lights in the room or closing outside binds remained hit-and-miss the entire weekend. Someone in the past thought is was a cool idea to be high-tech and install touch sensors for light switches with multifunctional areas. Even with explanations on paper, it did not work easily for us. We did have a balcony with a lake view, and that was very nice. The sauna and pool areas were large but needed some LTC. The pool had touchpads like the room to turn things on, and only 1 of 3 worked for the pool. The jacuzzi touch sensor worked. The sauna had five areas with temperatures of 38, 40, 45, 70 and 90 Celsius. The two lowest temperatures had humidity of 50% and 100%, respectively. Our first day, the 45-degree room did not work. On the second day, the 70-degree room did not work. The 38 degrees did not feel like it was on at all ever. Only the 70-degree chamber had a temperature gauge. In this entire area, no “chill” music was on, so it felt uninviting to us. We did not use the quiet room, but it looked nice. The hotel location is excellent, and perhaps that is why it retains a four-star rating. In the past glory is was certainly that caliber. During our stay, it felt like a slightly neglected object needing more polish to make it shine again at full strength. Even without the shine, we enjoyed our long weekend.
