Popular Bad Teinach-Zavelstein 4-star Hotels

Loved this hotel but there were a couple things that would have made our stay perfect. ● First, the room: spacious. The view is amazing. We got a deluxe room with a balcony that overlooked the forest and gardens. We spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony and this lovely view. What would have made it even better was a sunshade—it was quite bright in the blazing afternoon—we had the corner room so there was nothing to block the sun. Wonderful bathroom—toilet and tub/shower were separate. Beds were comfortable but I wish that the two halves of the bed had been connected together with at least a mattress topper. I wound up falling in the crevasse between the two beds by the third morning. We were surprised that there was no coffee maker—since we wake up much earlier than the breakfast, a coffee maker would have really made our stay more enjoyable. ● The restaurant food was amazing. The breakfast was an excellent spread and included a person ready to cook an omelet to order. Only a few of the staff spoke English, thankfully two of them were the bartenders! We ate at the bar’s outdoor seating for dinner a couple nights which was a much more relaxed atmosphere than the dinner restaurant. Not as wide of a menu variety at the bar but enough to give us options for two nights. We needed replacement towels for the pool and sauna but was not able to get any for our 2nd and 3rd day—we didn’t want to continue to use our sauna towels after having sweated on them. A hotel that specializes in its pool and sauna facilities should have plenty of towels for the overnight guests. ● The grounds are so beautifully maintained, a lovely mix of nature and man-made gardens. There are hiking and biking paths into the forest right from the hotel. The pools and saunas are excellent with jets in some spots and not others. And well maintained. My only complaint with the pools is that babies and small children were using the hot tub. This should be adults only for hygiene. ● Altogether a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it for travelers looking to relax in beautiful surroundings.
