My apartment is located in Bad Schandau in the district Ostrau in the heart of Saxon Switzerland. Many hiking trails start right outside our house. The Schrammsteine and the Falkenstein are within reach. To the east, the Saxon Switzerland passes into the Lusatian Mountains and west to the Ore Mountains. The adjacent Czech part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains is called Bohemian Switzerland. The highest elevation of Saxon Switzerland is the Great Zschirnstein with 562 m above sea level. NN. Saxon Switzerland is divided into the front and the rear Saxon Switzerland. To the front Saxon Switzerland belongs the entire linkselbische area together with the flatness and the table mountains like the Pfaffenstein or the Königstein as well as the rechtselbisch lying Lilienstein, the Basteigebiet and the fire.
