Sehr gepflegt schöne Zimmer. Das Essen im Restaurant ist super lecker. Danke für die kleinen lecker Vorspeisen. Im Pub ist es sehr gemütlich und der Whisky schmeckt sehr gut. Der Spabereich ist klein aber fein mit Dampfbad, finn. Sauna und Infrarotsauna und zwei Relaxliegen. War alles in allem eine schön Ausszeit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Einzelzimmer als Doppelzimmer = kleine Matratze und die auch noch zu hart, Mini Badezimmer on top. Lage oberhalb der Stadt ganz schön. Als Wanderhotel für eine Nacht okay. Der Ort selbst hat Licht und Schatten. Vieles ist in die Jahre gekommen….

Ich war dort mit meinen Kindern und ihren Partern. Aufgrund dieser Konstellation hatten wir sowohl Einzelzimmer, Doppelzimmer de Luxe und Junior Suite. Um es kurz zu machen, alle Zimmer waren modern (scheinbar frisch renoviert), geräumig (auch das Einzelzimmer) und sehr sauber. An Ausstattung fehlt nichts (es gab auch Klimaanlagen in den Zimmern). Von daher alles top. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön oberhalb der Stadt, direkt auf dem Weg zur Kauzenburg und den dortigen Weinfeldern. Parkplätze gibt es genügend (für E-Fahrzeuge auch welche mit Ladestation). Der Weg in die Stadt ist aber nicht so weit wie es klingt. Es gibt einen Fußpfad, den man vom Hotel erreichen kann (2min) und der bringt einen in etwa 5-8 min ins Stadtzentrum (Achtung weg ist steil, gut begehbar, Abends auch gut beleuchtet aber nicht barrierefrei). Im Hotel selbst ist der Service freundlich und um das Wohl der Gäste sehr bemüht. Ab 22h ist die Rezeption nicht mehr besetzt und von daher wir dann auch der Bar- und Terrassenbetrieb eingestellt. Sehr schade, denn beide laden zum verweilen ein. Das Frühstück ist gut, umfangreich. Sehr leckeres Brot und Brötchen. Was leider es was zu kurz kommt sind so ein paar nette Pfälzer Spezialitäten auf dem Frühstücksbuffet. Dennoch alles in allem eine absolute Empfehlung für ein nettes Wochenende.

Auch wenn man heute viel wegen Corona entschuldigen kann, scheint bei diesem Hotel die Profit Maximierung und nicht die Gastlichkeit im Vordergrund zu stehen. Die Zimmer waren auch nach dem aufdrehen der Heizung nur annähernd warm. Eine Aufzählung der vielen kleinen Mängel erspare ich mir. In diesem Hotel fehlt ein Interesse am Gast. Auf Rückfrage sei das Hotel als Tagungshotel angeblich beliebt, aber wer wählt dann das Hotel ? Die Gäste oder der Veranstalter, der Gast hat also keine Wahl. Ich werde dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall nicht meinen Monteuren zumuten wollen.

Das Hotel liegt für Naturliebhaber und Hundehalter ideal auf dem Berg, quasi inmitten von Weinbergen. Das Haus ist schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, alles ist relativ einfach aber alles ist sauber und ordentlich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, es ist ein klassisches 2 bis 3 Sterne Haus. Die Qualität des Frühstücks ist ähnlich. Es ist alles Notwenige da, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Ich würde wieder dort einchecken weil die ruhige Lage in der Natur für mich und den Hund ideal sind.
