Excellent location, supportive and friendly staff, great services, pretty expensive. We had dinner included, the restaurant atmosphere and concept of serving the dinner is exceptional. We are treated by the staff when entering restaurant, same table is reserved per room number for the whole stay which is comfortable, information about the next day including weather forecast and activities, really nice. Secure Parking location for additional charges (4 € / day). Poor WiFi and low quality pillows is a minus.

Disappointment. Today a maximum of 3 star hotel: minibar empty, not enough staff. The terrace: once a highlight with laid tables - today carelessly furnished and therefore hardly used. Staff: generally not enough - service overwhelmed, bar not staffed - no hotel life in the evening. Breakfast: Pastries in short supply - “reloading” takes too long. Hot breakfast: plate warmer not filled, not turned on. There are always too few scrambled eggs in stock. Snack: puny compared to before. Dinner: Lack of staff (service and kitchen), therefore lengthy. Salads: many containers, but similar contents in each (always sliced peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots - everything tastes the same, just has a different color). People are happy about leaf lettuce. Potato salad is also made worse with tomatoes... Cheese variation instead of dessert? None. Internal decoration: everything that would make you comfortable is missing. Only table flowers in the restaurant. Corridors and star kingdom lifeless. Rooms clean and well maintained. This hotel probably won't have an easy time with the new operators for much longer. An Austrian hotel should radiate Austrian hospitality and cosiness. Just a good and tasty dinner probably won't be enough. We leave it open whether we will come back. If you don't remember the previous values at the Hotel Zum Stern, then this was our last visit. The displeasure among the guests (especially former regulars) could not be ignored. The few personnel deployed were literally "fraying" themselves, but they were fighting a losing battle. You should only reopen a house when the conditions are right.

Wir verbrachten ein paar Tage zum Skifahren in Bad Hofgastein und hatten es mit dem sogenannten "Frühbucherpreis" gebucht. Das Hotel ist schön eingerichtet und bietet auch allen möglichen Komfort. Das Essen ist gut, das Personal im Gastrobereich freundlich. Allerdings: - Für Parkplätze wird EUR 4 pro Tag verrechnet. Auf die Frage, warum und wo man sein Auto sonst hinstellen könnte, bekommt man zur Antwort: "Ihr Problem". Auch bekommt man die Konsumationsrechnungen, wenn man sich die auf die Zimmerrechnung setzen lassen will, am nächsten Tag zur Kontrolle nicht vorgelegt (auch nicht am selben Tag übrigens). Erst beim Checkout bekommt man die Rechnungen vorgelegt - und dann geht die Diskutiererei los, die einem am Ende den Urlaub vermiest. - Außerdem haben wir festgestellt, dass wenn wir das Zimmer eine Woche vor unserer Anreise gebucht hätten, wir uns ca EUR 150 erspart hätten. Die Rezeptionistin darauf angesprochen, bekamen wir als Antwort, dass man da nix machen könne, wir halt zu dem Preis gebucht hätten und damit Pech haben - außerdem wird das "von der Zentrale" so vorgegeben. Es war nicht einmal der Ansatz von Bedauern oder "ich werde nachfragen, ob wir da was machen können" zu hören - nichts. Naja, so werden sie uns halt nicht mehr hören, geschweige denn sehen. Freundlichkeit sieht anders aus.
