Hotels Near Kriemhildenstuhl in Bad Durkheim

We took a break in Deidesheim over the weekend. The hotel is located on the edge of Deidesheim, directly in the wine mountains. We were very friendly at the reception. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed (double bed Queensize) was very comfortable, so we have been very well sleeping. The bathroom with shower and toilet was also very clean. The breakfast buffet does not leave any wishes open, the selection is very good. There was a large selection of fresh breads just in the fresh breads. There is also a beautiful wellness area with sauna. The hotel is especially suited for walking and biking in the beautiful chair. The numerous wine goods are also worth a visit (wein sample and purchase). We're happy to come back. A highlight of the hotel is an old music box that works and provides beautiful songs. We'll come back.

The staff are all very nice. The room is spacious and you don't feel closed. Overall our stay was pleasant. We could also spontaneously book the unreserved breakfast for several days. However, the cleanliness was not fully respected in our case. We ordered the daily cleaning service, which is a great offer, as it is not necessary for such a short stay. The room was always made on the weekend, however, the room was not quite clean at our arrival. The bathing turk button was full of dust, the set glasses for the bottle of water included in the price had still a lipstick beam from the pre-visitor and in the washing basin still a swallowed hair with visible skin fats. We simply didn't use the glasses and cleaned the washing basin itself. The room and the bath were otherwise in a proper condition. For its purposes, you could be satisfied overall with the price-performance ratio. It is also often questioned whether everything is in order and if there are problems, it can be criticised directly.

The staff is very friendly and welcome to their guests at the reception. The friendly and family atmosphere is the first place as a privately managed hotel. We were received by Isabelle (the daughter of the house) and Melissa, who were really at the same time everywhere and read the wishes from the eyes to the guests (despite protective masks!). Also in “Stefans Restaurant” Isabelle sees everything with only one view. The idyllical city Limburgerhof is still a secret tip, because the starting point is just ideal. Excursions for example to Heidelberg, Speyer, Newtown on the wine road, or just a short time to Elsass are just a few good goals. My wife and I were in Elsass one day, which was really a great experience. The Holidaypark Haßloch is only 17 km from the hotel. 130 modern, friendly and comfortable rooms and Superior rooms, as well as suites, provide you a second home. A sauna, a fitness room, a hotel bar, a terrace and eight conference and seminar rooms are rounded out the equipment. The four-star hotel is a demanding house with a top kitchen and a balanced environment for celebrations, business and individual travels, as well as meetings. We had dinner in ”Stefans Restaurant” on two evenings, which was very good. The breakfast buffet was also absolute tip. All the heart wants. All rooms are non-smoking rooms and very clean, with shower, toilet, telephone, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and a small refrigerator that you can switch on. We were here in mid-September for three days, but we are very sure that we will be back in the “Residenzhotel Limburgerhof” by spring 2022 at the latest. Parking is sufficiently available just in front of the hotel.

We travelled to Ludwigshafen for business and looked for hotels near to the work premises, unfortunately the 'Excelsior Hotel' was first in the list. At only 90 euros a night (including breakfast) it is no doubt a 'budget' option, but it isn't budget in the respect of a Travelodge or Premier Inn, instead it's a lost hotel in a pretty unpleasant area which has been left to decay. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station, graffiti-covered walls surround the hotel, and the first impression of the hotel visually is not a positive one, it's hard to even find the way in, amongst scaffolding and concrete jungle. At night, it's a fairly unsafe-feeling area, with people 'hangin around' looking suspicious. The one positive aspect upon booking was the 'Skybar', however digging deeper into reviews, it's clear that it's been closed long before the 'pandemic', infact 4 years ago, and upon arrival we were informed that it's still closed with no future planned. There is no restaurant onsite, nor bar besides a mini-fridge sat on the reception desk with a few bottles of beer available. Upon check-in, I was also asked for my 'date of birth' and home address, which often feels irrelevant, I refused to give such details. Once in the room, via the lift which takes about 5 minutes to arrive and to move, there's no air conditioning which during 32c weather was painful, but fortunately there was a fan. The room size isn't bad at all and the bed was comfortable, but the presentation of the room, as a new guest, wasn't considerate. A pile of electrical extension and cables was next to my bed, not tucked away out of sight. The internet connection was virtually useless in the afternoon/evenings after guests start to utilise it, I resorted to using mobile data instead. There are balconies, but they're just concrete and far from cosy, although the view over the city isn't at all bad. There is no furniture and in addition from a security aspect someone could easily go from their balcony to yours, therefore always be sure to lock and chain the balcony door when not in the room, or at night. At night, you can hear noise from neighbouring rooms, above, below and to the sides, I am also fairly sure that I had 3 'bed-bug' bites from my two night stay at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my 90 euro rate and the breakfast restaurant isn't bad, the service is friendly but the choice is limited, a few cold options and minimal hot options, no bacon or sausages unfortunately. It was a little off-putting to see mouse-traps being laid around the restaurant while I was sat trying to enjoy my meal. While away from the hotel, I left the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, despite this upon return later that afternoon the cleaner had been into the room and cleaned, this is not acceptable when the message is clearly made that the room should not be disturbed. Sehr gut, wir haben in den letzten zwei Jahren viele Reisen gemacht und viele Hotels erlebt. Das Best Western Mannheim City zählt da mit Abstand zu den Besten . Tolles sauberes Zimmer mit Wohlfühlfaktor, Service super und freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück vielfältig und abwechslungsreich. The hotel pretty far from Bahnhof but if you not hurry or your destination are in the city it's ok. When I arrived, there were many people waiting to check in. Got a room a little late I have to wait 15-20 minutes to get a key card. (Unfortunately the hotel bar was not open at that time. Otherwise I will have a seat to chill and wait.) The room :: I really like the room, everything like in the picture, So stylish, comfy and clean. Just the AC it was not cool at night.

The hotel was in a great location and convenient to walk to restaurants and a grocery store. The breakfast buffet offered all that anyone should desire from eggs to waffles, cold cuts and cheeses, to a variety of breads and yogurt. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the hotel itself was very nice.

The hotel is ideal as a meeting venue, combining meeting rooms with hotel rooms and restaurant. The hotel is modern, clean, very calm. Rooms are spacious and feature all relevant amenities. Instead of a mini bar, the hotel provides two bottles of water for free in the room, presumably in an effort to reduce CO2 footprint. Internet worked very well and was easy to access (password at the reception). Staff was very friendly and helpful. You are in a smaller town, which is reflected in the service you experience at the hotel: sometimes a bit less routined, yet very caring. The hotel is located in a small park, so you can go for a short walk to get some fresh air. Parking is free and without any registration, parking lot in front of the hotel. Definitely a nice experience for a business meeting, providing a professional and inspiring setting.
