Blue Palm Bacalar

We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Palm and Bacalar in general. - the staff were so incredibly helpful and really took our stay to the next level. Lluvia in particular was so welcoming and gave us recommendations for the local area taking the time to answer all our annoying questions. She was always on hand and even called a taxi for us when we were stranded on the other side of town. - the room was lovely and spacious and very clean, very good air con, bed was comfy (need to find out where they get their pillows) and the bathroom was large with a big walk in shower. The room included a tv, a fridge and ample storage space (not always easy to find on holiday) - we spent a lot of time round the pool which was lovely and quiet and just a really relaxing vibe. We especially enjoyed watching all the little lizards that run about - the location is great, very close (10 min walk) the the main square and literally 5 minutes from the lagoon. We spent a lot of days in La Playita which is very close. We found it super quiet and never struggled with noise in the 5 days we were there - breakfast we thought was brilliant. You get fruit, toast, juice and tea/coffee included every morning and then a choice of a hot dish (mainly revolving around eggs). The restaurant in general we found really good and we ate there for lunch a couple of times. It has a varied menu including mexican and european dishes. If we were too return we would definitely want to come back here, can't recommend enough. the only 1 tiny little negative is that the WiFi wasn't great. This didn't bother us too much but may bother others. There are plenty of places nearby to get better wifi if you need it!

We had the most incredibly stay at Blue Palm - we really didn’t want to leave. It’s definitely one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in and would really recommend it. The hotels location is perfect, it’s within walking distance to lots of restaurants as well as the lagoon. It’s a really stunning property, the rooms, reception and pool area were always so clean - it’s so thoughtfully designed too, really colourful and relaxing. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options included in the price and there is also a restaurant and bar onsite. The hotels owner Juan spoke to guests every morning and shared some brilliant tips - we went to / did a couple of things he suggested that we weren’t planning to do and we enjoyed all of his recommendations.

We absolutely loved our stay at this fabulous hotel. The rooms are gorgeous. The pool and outdoor space are very well landscaped with brilliant furniture. I loved chilling by the pool, it was peaceful and beautiful. The hotel breakfasts were very good and the bar is lovely too. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.

Beautiful little hotel in Beautiful Bacalar. Excellent service form staff and owner, great location, helping my wife and I have a wonderful vacation in this magical place. Delicious breakfast included and a nice pool to freshen out the hot weather. Definitely will come back to Bacalar and to Blue Palm

We had a delightful two nights at the Blue Palm. Juan and Sam were attentive engaging hosts. The lovely gardens were peaceful and soothing. It’s hard to believe this quiet little hotel is tucked into downtown Bacalar, walking distance to everything. Breakfast was sumptuous and individually prepared. The lap pool was the best I’ve ever been in. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful hotel in paradise with the 7 colors Lagoon. We really had a great time staying in the beautiful Blue Palm Bacalar! The entire staff provided us an unforgettable experience from start to finish. They were really friendly, thoughtful and helpful. The owner Juan gave us really good tips every morning of what to do, when to do it and where to eat. The breakfast was also amazing! He made sure we were able to make the best of our honeymoon. We will never forget this experience!
