Stayed for 2 nights during my time in Bacalar and honestly had a VIP experience here. I was the only guest on one night but they made me welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the hotel staff were super friendly! If I come down this way again, I’ll certainly be staying again!

Just checked out from a two night stay in Agam Hotel, it was definitely a 5-star stay for us. Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We had a long personalised check-in in which we got all the information about Bacalar. Room was nice. If we have to say something negative about it, it would be the low water pressure in the shower. Apart from that, the state of our room was great with high cleanliness. Breakfast was minimal but delicious. Location of the hotel is amazing. Within 5 minutes walking you’re at the lagoon, and within 15 minutes inside the city center. Parking is indeed on the street in front of the hotel, but it felt very safe. Would definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to visit Bacalar.

I really liked the decor and design of this hotel. The room and bathroom were a good size and smelled fresh and clean. Nice bed sheets and towels. The bathroom has a couple wires strung up which is handy for drying swimsuits and other clothes. The shower itself would benefit from a little shelf for shampoos etc. Breakfast has a few different options on the menu, but the real stand-out for me were the little artisan jams - really delicious, with a few different flavours to try. It's near lots of good restaurants (I enjoyed Xoloitzcuintle taco bar, Pizzería el Nonno, and Tenek) as well as the ecopark/boardwalk and a public access point to the lake. The hotel itself is quiet, but Bacalar as a town is NOISY at night - not because it's a party place, but because everyone has yappy dogs and lots of people keep chickens, and contrary to what movies would have you believe, roosters don't just crow when the sun comes up, they go off at all hours. Take advantage of the free earplug jar at reception!

When you want to relax from the party scene of your trip head to Bacalar and enjoy this amazing town and hotel. Agam is a cool small 17 room hotel with a chill vibe. Close to everything and also within walking distance to the town center, lagoon and many bars. Enjoy a drink by the pool with chill music. The owner and staff are very helpful.

Clean room, personnel was attentive, breakfast was delicious and included fresh orange juice, assorted fruits, coffees of every kind plus your choice of one entree from menu, which is included with room price. It is walking distance to the lagoon and great restaurants and nightlife, including restaurants with live music and dancing. Good price for a cute place. Not luxurious but clean and economical.

Nothing memorable, rooms small and a little damp, breakfast rather poor for my taste. Nice pool but ruined on the bottom and not heated, in general a service not in line with the price paid in my opinion. I honestly wouldn't go back

Our experience at Agam was very good. New hotel, everything very neat, full of plants, very nice decoration. A very nice pool and the perfect room. The breakfast was good and the people were super friendly. I recommend 100%, I would return. The location is good, about 5 blocks from the center and the Lagoon. They have a beach club at The Yak hostel

Très décevant. Ne prenez surtout pas des chambres supérieures, elles n’en ont rien. Situées au dernier étage sans ascenseur, le personnel ne vous aidera pas pour les valises. Même si elles sont de bonne taille, elles n’ont pas de toit en dur. Elles sont très bruyantes car l’hôtel est situé entre deux rues passantes. Certaines avec baignoire, c’est pas top car risque de glissade en sortant. Quand il pleut dehors, il pleut dans la chambre. Le ménage n’est pas au top. Pour le petit déjeuner, venez y de bonne heure si vous ne voulez pas attendre pour avoir une place et pour avoir du pain et des fruit. Seul point positif les deux jeunes filles du petit déjeuner soit très sympathiques.
