The location of this hotel is perfect, with a beautiful view of the vegetation and rice fields. The service is very good, and Hang (if I'm not mistaken) was wonderful at the reception.

Unfortunately, I have a few design issues:
I stayed in the dormitory. It's located right above the restaurant, so it's very noisy from 7:00 a.m. until around 11:00 p.m. The bathroom sinks overlook the terrace, so any guest who looks up can see us brushing our teeth. Not to mention that the guest toilets are the same as the dormitory's, with a shower right next to it. Although I'm a simple person, I found it a bit annoying.
Finally, there was noisy construction going on, which further spoiled the atmosphere. So it's an ideal place as a hiking starting point, but not for enjoying a peaceful atmosphere, because it's not peaceful!

We stayed a week in this hotel and stayed in the dormitory. At first we were alone but from the 3rd day other travelers arrived and the nights were absolutely quiet. Excellent value for money

Writing my first ever Tripadvisor review because I thought the 2 reviews before mine were rather unbalanced. This is an eco lodge in an area relatively new to tourism. Rooms are in little wooden huts with a terrace and were of a similar standard to 3 star lodges we’ve stayed in elsewhere in the world. You’re in the country so there will be noise from the wildlife - mostly insects and frogs outside our room. Everything was clean - very humid so towels inevitably a little limp. Access is down a scruffy and slightly muddy track but not a problem - we wheeled our cases down it in the dark when we arrived without difficulty (although we should have waited - the staff came rushing out to say they’d have taken them from the road to our room). Breakfast was a similar standard to everywhere else we stayed in Vietnam - there was an egg station and plenty of fruit. Evening meals were pleasant and plentiful and they managed to cope with two of us not eating meat. We were glad we can’t to peaceful Pu Luong!

Amazing location set amongst the rice terraces with stunning views across the hills. Restaurant is set in one of the stilt houses with beautiful sunrise. All staff are so friendly and Tim and his wife always have a smile to welcome you. We had an adventurous and fun guided walk around the local area visiting local hill tribes and had the privilege of being invited in to share the tasty rice wine and home made whisky. Definitely recommend the cooking course too.

We were lucky to stay one night here -- my wife, two adult daughters and me -- as part of a guided 2-day tour in Pu Luong and Ninh Binh. Dynamite location and facilities, very luxurious given the remote village setting the resort overlooks. Good food and bar, too!

The food was fantastic, probably the best dinners I had in Vietnam, really! I highly recommend eating there. If you are staying overnight, get the rooms with mountain view, you will not be disappointed, it's worth the money. The location is great, and most importantly the staff and owners are very kind and welcoming, I loved them. The only aspect that was less desirable was that the bungalows were not fully sealed (main doors and toilet window) meaning that mosquitos and all kinds of critters could get into your room. To compensate, they have a bed mosquito net and the air con and ceiling fan did the job just right.. to keep your room cool. Experience Pu Luong's surrounding nature in comfort!

We stayed for 3 nights with Tim and his family at this resort in Pu Luong. As a trip advise I would definitely recommend Pu Luong over Sapa. The unspoiled views - especially from this resort as it has the best location away from the main road - are reason enough. You can easily visit the famous waterwheels, cave, waterfalls and local markets from here. The staff will arrange all you need from motorbike rental to massages. The prices for everything are more expensive in Pu Luong compared to the lowlands, but this makes sense since you are a long way up a mountain. Boutique Garden has a full all day a la carte menu that they manage to keep up even in low season. Whenever we came to the restaurant there was always a table set for us and we only once had something unavailable - they made sure it was there the next day. Get the grilled fish, its amazing. The resort is fairly new, so in terms of clean and comfort no complaints.
