We spent a night in this hotel. Late arrival we were very welcomed by the staff and in the morning. We had booked a room for 3 people +2 dogs. Spacious room and bathroom. The hotel was very good and varied. The hotel was also very good and very nice. If we are around, we will not hesitate to stop there.

This Historic hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet spot but within easy reach of many Loire valley gems. Situated between Saumur and Tours within easy reach of, for example, Azay le Rideau and Fontevraud for culture and Chinon and Savonierres for more bacchanalian interests. Its own history is fascinating and it has been impeccably restored by the Pasquier family into a top of the range hotel, set in an immaculate 25 hectare park. The reception was warm and welcoming, the room was exquisitely decorated and with every comfort. The gastronomic restaurant was of a very high quality. All in all a faultless stay. We stayed here to break a long journey to the South of France. Our anticipated arrival time was delayed due to traffic and ferry delay, so we rang ahead. Patrick took our call, and was very helpful, making arrangements for our late arrival. On arrival everything was smooth. Our keys and helpful instructions had been left for us. Our room was clean, well maintained and perfect for what we needed. In the morning the breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and all fresh and well presented. The car park is secured overnight, which was another great point. The staff, Patrick in particular was very helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a stop over.

There is free parking, and you can drive through the river valley castle area. The room environment and facilities are good. There are big supermarkets and gas stations nearby, highly recommended.
