VILLA DES FLEURS - Spa, Belgium Quite a nice older property. not wheelchair friendly as steps to enter both front and rear. Attractive rear gardens with breakfast terrace adjoining the dining room, and good off-road parking (very narrow entrance) in a town centre location Rooms are dated as one might expect but clean, and all rooms appear to have functional showers in them, mine was a tight squeeze. Small lift from lobby to the upper floors. Twin beds in my room were small and basic, and the mattress tended to detach easily from the bed base. My advice is to avoid rooms at the front of hotel (including 14, 15, 16) since these overlook a busy enough street and an all-night store and bottle shop. Since the rooms have no fixed Air Con, sleeping with windows open is noisy and people on the street talking in middle of the night feel as if they were in your room! I would be nervous of staying here in hot weather without proper Air-Con. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, and a popular cafe in a busy town square is literally 100 yards away and opens at 8am every morning for good coffee. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodated our party switching dates around slightly within the group, but left me in the noisy street-view room which was a little disappointing.

The facilities were perfect, and it was comfortable to have a cable car dedicated to guests who could go directly to therme in the bathrobe figure. However, despite the advance payment via Trip.com, a deposit was charged 50 euros at check-in. It was said that it was refunded after the adjustment of room service etc. However, the refrigerator was empty. There should be no additional. I thought it would be paid back at check-out, but it was said that it would be refunded via the card company after 2 － 3 days. However, even after a week, it has not yet been refunded.

Absolutly amazing hotel with a kind, service minded and solution oriented staff. The rooms were all good and the breakfest buffet had everything you ever needed. For the price I paid for my room, I expected a LOT more. I travel a lot and very often around Europe and the USA and this hotel is one of the worst value for money hotels I have had the misfortune to experience - you are charging PREMIUM prices for dark, miserable rooms where I even had to cliimb upstairs to go to bed. The bed was on a mezzanine where I had to stoop to avoid banging my head on the ceiling as I am a tall man and the polished wooden stairs made me feel very anxious that I would slip going down them especially in the middle of the night. The coffee cups were damaged (chipped) and you have the AUDACITY to offer cheap recycled toilet paper in a a dispenser that I have only seen in the cheapest BUDGET hotels!!! Not even a roll of toilet paper!! Cheap single sheets from a plastic holder!!! And you charge €184 per night for THIS?? It is ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL. I am not happy AT ALL with paying such a high price for an overnight stay . You should be charging HALF the room rate. Unfortunately I had no time to ask for a better room or a refund as I had an evening engagement in Verviers but I will not be staying in your hotel again. Whilst the woman on the checkout desk was apologetic and offered me contact details for your customer care team for a future stay in one of your hotels in the region, this is not going to happen as it will be at least a year before I return to Verviers/Spa and I would have preferred a partial refund instead. I most certainly will not recommend your hotel based on this experience. A refund of at least 1/3 of the price of my stay would be helpful but I suspect that is not going to happen.

Opposite is the train station, which is very small at the door of the hotel. There is no hole in the room. The room is large, there is a radiator, it is easy to wash clothes, and the hotel is 500 meters away from the right. There are several good French restaurants.

We stay a lot in Van der Valk hotels in The Netherlands so we thought let's try out this hotel in Liège as we are always pleasantly suprised by the high standards and quality of the rooms, staff, etc. We booked an executive room and as it is very spacious (almost twice the size of a standard room) it lacks some features that we are accustomed in Van der Valk hotels. The most notable is the lack of a separate shower in the bathroom. We did have bathtub with a showerhead but no option to hang it up. So we ended up sitting in the tub whilst holding the shower! Even the most basic rooms at other Van der Valk hotels have a separate rainshower and most of the time also a bathtub. The bed itself was okay, but the pillows were substandard and shouldn't even be used anymore. The total cleanliness of the room could be a bit better. The staff in the hotel is kind and helpful, except for the lady at the breakfast service. I think that this wasn't her day. We don't speak French and the staff doesn't speak Dutch so we talked English. Not all of them where very fond of changing to English instead of French. When we had diner our waitress was very kind and attentive. So a big shoutout to her. All with all this is not a Van der Valk hotel that lives up to the reputation that we know and love it by. The possibility for us visiting this hotel again in the future is very slim.

Small stay 1 night in couple. With regard to the reception, it was, staff was very pleasant and explaining things quite well. Attention to your arrival, their underground parking is expensive ( € 20 ) and this is not specified in the description. The rooms are very clean and modern, but to sleep it was horrible. The matlas, for my part, was horrible, too soft, but my girlfriend, she, appreciated. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. There were 3 ”” Offer ”” drinks in the refrigerator, that was really very good. For lifts, it's quite special, there are three but one one who goes to the SPA. They are very flippant, very small, make huge noise, you don't have to be claustrophobic, especially that once we are staying temporarily blocked in because the reception button did not work. The spa is super, there is a classic sauna, a Finnish sauna, a wave sauna, a hammam, a swimming pool ( quite small unfortunately ) and a beautiful jacuzzi, if you have the chance to enter it, because it always has people in it. The breakfast was perfect, a huge choice, nothing to reiterate. In conclusion, it is a beautiful hotel, but it doesn't deserve the price to pay ( 170€ per night, and it was still with remise.. ) and that is more equivalent to a 4-star than a 5-star, based on previous experiences. For the outside, Liège, we don't have too much appreciation, first and last time. Very poor, abandoning, in work, very dirty.. We are happy to come back, it's sad to say.
