I was greeted with warm welcome to a comfortable and very clean guest House. The furnishings were comfortable and in keeping with the period house which had beautiful features. The lounge was very relaxing. Breakfast was a feast, and the staff genuinely friendly and warm. I stayed in a "single " room, which had a double bed, armchair and ensuite, so I was very comfortable, and slept well. From the leafy Georgian street I had a walk into Ayr, the town and sea are both within easy reach. Id encourage every visitor to Ayr to consider a stay here.

Would highly recommend. Welcoming , immaculate and stunning decor , we enjoyed the beautiful lounge for relaxing in. Our room was beautiful and the added personal touches really lovely. Fresh towels and laundry every day. Shower room immaculate. We can’t wait to visit again .

The house is beautiful sinclair our host was very friendly with great advice where to eat even supplied a map to get around. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable breakfast was superb would definitely stay again

Excellent single room at the top of the house. Everything thought of - toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, bath robe. The highlight of my stay (for someone who hates instant coffee) was finding a cafetiere with real coffee and a kettle. What a change from the usual things one finds on a tray. Plenty plain and sparkling water as well. The house is very clean and the owners are very welcoming. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Excellent stay. Properties ambience and facilities are outstanding. Felt relaxed immediately on entering our beautiful room. Fantastic fresh cooked breakfast with a huge range of cold buffet accompaniments. Can’t wait to stay again.

My visit here was surprisingly good and memorable. I say surprisingly as I didn't have high expectations - it was a bed for the night. However the location was very pretty and impressive. My room was exactly what I needed and more - the attention to detail was commendable - the choice of drinking water, the fresh milk, the delicious biscuits (which looked homemade). The bed was very comfortable, there was a radio, a clock and the stylish interior with original art was observed. Our contact on check in was so helpful thinking of the main room being available if we came back early. Also we had the option of having breakfast here available at very short notice. We should have gone for it! Next time... would thoroughly recommend

Another quality stay at the Lochinver!! Stayed yet again for two nights in the Montgomery suite, lovely room, spotlessly clean and really comfy bed. Breakfast is probably one of the best of any property we have ever stayed at !! Location is great for getting into and around Ayr. A real home from home and Sinclair is extremely helpful as are all the staff. We would always stay at the Lochinver b&b whenever we are in this area. Don't bother with booking sites just ring Sinclair direct for the best prices! See you again soon and thanks again for a lovely stay.

All the other reviews are spot on - very welcoming, spotless, clean room and amazing high quality breakfast. My room was very comfortable and equipped with everything I needed and there is free parking too. Will definitely stay again - thank you
